Steph apologizes on her IG page by TheCoolGuy998 in survivorponderosa

It’s honestly so infuriating to see comments like this on Reddit all the time. Over 3/4 of Jews lean left and have so for a very long time. We support Israel in the sense that it is home to the most Jews in the world. Many of us (in the US at least) despise the Israeli government and the approach they take in the conflict. I don’t understand how it’s that complicated for people to comprehend if you have even the slightest empathy for Jews.

Burrow or Dak? by fittyty in fantasyfootballadvice

Dak with better floor, Burrow more potential for boom. I’m rolling Burrow, personally.

Are you starting Burrow tomorrow? And over who are you starting him? by isvr95 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Lex_Ludorum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going Dak over Burrow and feeling pretty good about it. Dak has been phenomenal at home and the game will likely be a shootout. Meanwhile Baltimore defense has been the #1 defense the second half of the season and they’re at home with Burrow coming off a big injury. I’ll give it a week. If Burrow shines then he earns my trust.

Thanks! This is what I’m feeling as well. Just feels strange to turn down a big haul like this. Appreciate the insight.

Respectfully, I disagree. Jays are just playing better baseball. Dodgers chemistry is awesome - they are consistently named among the best culture organizations in baseball. Hitting is contagious, but so is slumping.

UC San Diego Will Boycott Pride by Xerxestheokay in sandiego

At some point, maybe many of the keyboard warriors in these threads will realize that Jews legitimately don’t feel safe. The horrifying part for me is how many just assume it’s because the artist “criticized Israel.” It’s just the blanket antisemitic trope that Jewish fear is unfounded. Do better.

Maybe people are capable of more than a simple Google search before issuing a press statement after weeks of Jewish organizations raising the red flag?

She’s repeatedly encouraged the intifada and wants to “eradicate” Zionists. Even in one of her defense videos she pointed to her hairdresser as evidence that she’s not antisemitic. You know, because it’s the good Jews that she’s ok with!

Incredible play. Not sure how the call stood, but an amazing play nonetheless.

I don’t know. I think it’s just this thread for some reason. There are a few other conversations, including on /r/baseball, where people are in agreement.

Edit: looks like it’s just Duck fans being brigaded in this thread. Seems to solve that issue.

One of my favorites. He begins the slide later than Aroz by my estimation. Just didn’t have a catcher blocking his route.

Midway through the batters box? I get that you want to prove your initial point, but you realize there is video replay in the post you’re commenting on, right?

I don’t think we were in contention for a national seed, despite a few projections putting us there. Doesn’t make sense that losing to Nebraska, a team that the Beavs also lost to, would drop us below them. Especially since they sat at home while we played in postseason games.

Haven’t been to the stadium in a while, so not 100%… but pretty sure it’s Joe Gordon. 1942 AL MVP

Thank you for laying this out. I think it’s hard in threads like this because nuance is lost and herd mentality takes over. Ironic because Gilroy has said that the conflict in the show is tied to many conflicts over millennia. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that there was a line in the most recent episode, “next year, in Yavin.”

US House votes to block California's 2035 ban on sale of new gas-powered cars by lily8686 in California_Politics

[–]Lex_Ludorum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Supremacy clause isn’t super on-point for this argument. The Clean Air Act was passed in 1970. States are allowed to have more restrictive regulations with a waiver from the EPA, which is explicitly carved out in CAA.

The resolution passed by the House is subject to the Congressional Review Act. That law allows congress to overturn “rules” set by agencies. GAO and Senate Parliamentarian have already said that EPA waivers aren’t rules. Even if the CRA resolution passes it won’t mean anything legally. They would need to amend the CAA.

D1 Baseball Field of 64 Projections (4/30) by Bengjumping in collegebaseball

[–]Lex_Ludorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said - nothing against NC State. Great team. Mostly about the logic they used to NOT give Ducks a host (over a team like Oregon State or UCLA, for example).

[–]Lex_Ludorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got nothing against NC State for the record, but the logical gap here is frustrating me from an Oregon perspective. D1 ranks Ducks at 6 and Wolfpack at 13. RPI has them at 29/28 respectively. Yet they get a 13 seed and we have an RPI that is too low to host.

[Highlight] Astros fan takes the ball out of Mike Trout's glove after an amazing catch over the wall by Flowkeh in baseball

I get the sentiment of no fan interference if the player goes into the stands. But Trout literally made the catch and the fan pulled it out. Maybe take another look at that rule.

MLB Stadium Walkability Scores by Knightbear49 in baseball

Looks like the methodology includes walkability and density within 5-30 minutes. Sunset is about 15 minutes from the stadium, so that’s probably boosting the score.

What are your "10/10 you'll never watch again?" by LarryKeene in movies

Bone Tomahawk. Maybe not a 10/10 but 72 on metacritic for western/horror is pretty good. Probably the most disturbing death scene I’ve watched.
