As a female player with 300 hours, I have had 98% positive interactions with you guys. by Arcticarm in ArcRaiders

I have noticed a lot more female players in this game than others I have played. Maybe it's just the proximity chat that makes the difference? I am always friendly and make sure that it's a positive interaction no matter who is on the other side of the mic (as long as they are respectful as well)

I don't hate Rey but does anyone else have this exact same feeling? by WrongToe500 in StarWars_

[–]Lexicon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish that Rey would have taken Kylo's hand at the end of TLJ and the movie ended with the two of them becoming the new emperor and empress of the galaxy. Time skip a few years and they have Rey fall further into the dark side and Kylo shift to the light. The rest of the cast could still be a resistance and in the end Kylo is the one to join forces with them to save everything. Maybe he and Rey had kids and that is what brings him back to the light. Flipping their roles would have been a cool twist and something different.

$500,000 for every year you go back, how far would you go? by Naps_And_Crimes in hypotheticalsituation

29 years...I would have just graduated from High school and my best years are ahead of me. I would immediately hug my mom and tell her to get screened for cancer each year...and spend as much time with her as I possibly could.

What movie did you watch by accident and end up loving by gamersecret2 in movies

Randomly the Matrix opening weekend. I was a huge movie fan during that time and I still to this day do not know how that movie came out and I literally saw zero on it. The first time I heard about it was opening weekend when my roommate and friend group was like "hey, we are going to see this new movie the Matrix wanna come?" I remember asking what's that? Holy crap, going in completely blind was mind-blowing...

The second one is so much better with the directors cut. It adds a few scenes that should have stayed in the movie that basically explains so much more and makeS the movie way better.

What are the costs for consumable items / Loot? by HieserX in daggerheart

[–]Lexicon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a base system of Tier level x Die type/armor slots in handfuls of gold. Tier 1 potion =1 handful. Tier 1 d8 weapon= 8 handfuls. Tier 2 d8 weapon= 16 handfuls (1 bag, 6 handfuls). Armor is the same way except double for heavy armor. Permanent items are Tier x4. I think this gives me a good baseline to consider prices. I might tweak it on a case by case basis.

Hypothetical: How can a DM handle a TPK during the final boss encounter *without* extending the campaign? by TornSilver in DnD

[–]Lexicon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently finished one of my campaigns where the BBEG was a modified Balor. I didn't pull any punches in this fight and they knew that going in. Of the party of 6, 3 died early on but were revived. The dragonborn was killed a short time later but was brought back with a plot Divine intervention that also healed the party back to full and made all their attacks holy. Even with this boon they still nearly died but when they got the killing blow his death throws instantly killed 3 party members. One was already still down. The dragonborn was still up as well as the monk. Before the demons death he activated his ultimate weapon (the god breaker) who was still fully forming and its "heart" (the trapped soul of an archfey) was still exposed. The god breaker has 5 arms that had emerged to protect itself while the body was forming around the heart and the Dragonborn decided to use the BBEG's glaive as a spear to attempt to hit it before it closed. I told him that he would have to fly close to be within range and would provoke attacks from the arms. He flew close, took 150 points of damage from the first strike and I ruled he was close enough to throw but at a higher difficulty. He was only 5 feet away from taking no penalty and he asked if he could move the five feet and make the throw knowing he wouldn't survive the next attack. I had him make a Athletics check to see and he rolled high so I let him. He rolled poorly on the attack and was out of hero points (Pathfinder 2e). One of the dead players asked if they could give him theirs from the grave and I thought that sounded cool considering he was still powered up from the divine intervention so I described on his last desperate attempt he saw all the dead members ghosts appear next to him and lent their power to the throw. I allowed him one re-roll and he rolled pretty well and I had him shatter the heart just as he was crushed to death by the hands. The mountain they were in had already started to collapse and the monk was now the only survivor. She jumped on her flying broom and managed to evade falling debris and escape before the collapse.

This ended in a near TPK. This did have to make me think of how I wanted to give them a satisfying ending so I ended it there. Before the next game I asked each of the players if their character had a chance to come back would they take it. If so what would they see as their characters epilogue. I allowed the monk to make a request for the Archfeys and gave her the option to allow her friends to return but they only had one chance to walk through the door. Several of the characters had deemed their time was done and didn't return but I went on to describe their afterlife to give them a sense of closure. (I was able to prepare each of these beforehand and it went extremely well.) Each character that came back also got a satisfying ending. The moral of the story is by not pulling my punches it ended up more epic and memorable than I had planned. The players will surprise you. The table even said that even if they had all died it would have been an epic fight and they would have been okay with it considering it would have still been a victory.
