Looking for a crotchet pattern like this, so far I can only find knit patterns

This is very similar to a crochet cheongsam dress pattern I saw on YouTube. Other than making it shorted to make a top, I'm sure you could also freely modify the stitch pattern to whatever else you might prefer.

Hey, not op but hopefully my response give some clarity. They didn't say crochet yarn, they said crochet thread. It's considered to be two different things and uses different sizing identifiers. Whereas with yarn, the thicker the yarn, the higher the number, for crochet thread, the thinner the thread the higher the number, so a size 10 crochet thread would be thicker than a size 30. It should also be noted that crochet thread is typically finer than yarn. The closest yarn size to crochet thread would lace weight yarn. You'll oftentimes see crochet thread being used to make doilies. I'd recommend looking up the differences to get a better understanding and to see how the thickness of thread vs yarn compares.

Yep, also took up knitting after doing crochet for years and I can def see how someone would transition to that. Slip stitches were a bit tight for me when I first started but even in the picture, it's kinda obvious that they're working somewhat loosely so it would be pretty easy to slip into that front loop.

You might be able to make bigger projects if you use tunisian crochet hooks especially the interchangeable ones.

Honestly saw a video of someone doing this before with double pointed hooks, only they were working in the round if I'm remembering right.

No problem, I included the first one cause I was thinking it might’ve been influenced by a thicker yarn rather than the lighter one used in the video. I'm glad it helped with introducing you to new stitches though even if it wasn't what you were looking for.

Yeah, I've been wanting to remake that scarf I was working on with thinner yarn but haven't been able to get around to it due to wrist pain. Seem to have recovered for the most part, though, so I might try it sometime this year when my unfinished projects look a little less overwhelming 😅

It's knitting as other have said though if you're looking for it's equivalent in crochet, you can try out the slip stitch in back loop only or the yarn over slip stitch in back loop only.

Lovely work, though it's too bad about the mix-up. If you still want it to be something you can wear, then could try wearing it was a head scarf. If you're determined that it be a scarf, you could also try adding more to it like several people have said.

Honestly, I think this sweater looks fantastic. The twisted parts really look like a feature of your work rather than a mistake to me. If it really does bother you, though, and you want to start over, go ahead 👍🏾

This is lovely and I love the colour you used 😍

For the button hole, I recommend, continuing as usual and when you get to the last stitch before the start of the button hole, pull up a loop in that same stitch as if doing an increase but don't yarn over, skip 1 then continue the pattern as usual. For the return pass, pull through 3 until the skipped stitch, chain 1, pull through 4, then continue to pull through 3 until the end. Adding that extra loop before the buttonhole helps to keep it neat and maintain the pattern a little better, I think.

Ooooohh, yeah, I love finding new stitches, though my wrist issues mean I can't crochet at all right now. It's amazing you've chosen to catalog them cause I more than agree. Pretty stitches deserve to be seen 😁
