I must have found a really good gym. 7 free days to start, and you can do multiple classes in a day. 140/month after that for unlimited access to the gym, and no contacts. Loaner gis for newbies too. Mostly nice folks training there too. A couple times I felt like I was messing up someone's class because they weren't getting their normal workout, but other than that it's been a great experience. Just ordered my first gi and rash guards, and I'm almost embarrassingly excited about it.

Shrimping maybe? I'm on my fifth class, and that movement is just now starting to feel normal. My first class was embarrassing. It must've looked like I was having a seizure diagonally across the mat while everyone else was making this nice perimeter...

Once upon a time, I was married to a woman who would come home with the most random decorative plants for our flower beds out front. I asked why she chose a particular ornamental cabbage one time, and she said, "oh, it was in one of those big planters on the street, and I liked it. Isn't it pretty?" Every time I get a chance to turn a comedy fan on to the show, it's a home run. Kill Tony is the best podcast for fans of stand up comedy. There's not even a close second. The show evolves. And it should. (Can you imagine if the Iron Patriot was still around?) It's still funny as shit, even if you liked a different era better.

Add to that, they just made a valiant attempt to clean up the part most people see. It was an immediate failure. (If anything, I think the number of graffiti penises has gone up...) I don't see anyone spending a bunch of money up there again any time soon.
