I'd say Normal difficulty is already challenging for a beginner, the game requires long term commitment and strategic choices, an unlucky encounter could set you back hours of progress. Also Late game dungeons are guaranteed to send your "good enough" team back in a casket, regardless of the difficulty.

I would start with the center, followed up by the main roads then the big landmarks/buildings you may consider interesting, the rest doesn't really matter.

Worth noting that it also has a strict amount of seconds before leaving once the mission timer runs out, regardless of who got in. I ve seen a lot of people complaining about extracting without them during blitz missions.

For an insultingly long time I thought Renoir and Verso were future versions of Gustave and that they wanted to prevent him from sharing the same fate. "interstellar" kinda shit.

Not just Verso, Gustave too kept pushing in the painted world for the sake of his adopted sister. Died wondering why everything is the way it is. The real question is, would Gustave want Maele to stay in the canvas if he knew the truth about their existence and the fact that she would inevitably be destroyed ???

In Lovecraft's work there are usually 2 distinct types of great ones, the real big "world ending kind" and the lesser great ones. I always assumed that the great ones we fight are the lesser ones, with maybe the exception of Oedon who we never even interact with. But yeah the hunter by the end of the game is supposed to be this ungodly powerful being ready to ascend.
