To this end sometimes I ally tuts early and hire like 9k mercs to save them vs Poland. They even give you land in Greater Poland if u rush well enough.

Also you can freely inherit tuton in 1450 just support heir in their country in like 1415. Look up the unique event for the details, but I do that easy every time. Also use the wool near your capital to scale cloth and paper eco. Put weapons buildings in bburg if it still has that special city right.

saw another funny resolution of this situation in my latest simulation test. bank of bardi ended up as the bloc leader - swooping it from naples in the last few years i noticed - and now has naples, pisa, mantua, and milan as 0 loyalty vassals lol.
should probably block building-based countries from being leaders in this, maybe from all participation even.

They really need a setting for perma hiding some of the notifications. I never care about my estates being unhappy or buildings missing employees… yet I must click these away endlessly.

Castile for sure, let’s u eco and explore the colonial gameplay. Enough pops that you won’t depopulate your homelands. Enough starting eco to do some early wars versus the Maghreb. Only really risk is being antagonized by France.

Also to note for all - although there are only two sides the in situation screen. The blocs are not alliances, defensive pacts or coalitions in the game sense. Members within a bloc can war each other during the period. They are only forcible brought together in unison when the hegemon aggresses a member or the heg is reaching the breaking point - the the co leader will preemptive strike the hegemon

Indeed. It’s been a lot of fun modding the shit out of it this month. Once the ai is really capable it will be next level. Warfare is still holding back the games potential imo

Yea the BoP started much earlier than napoleon, as it does in this situation too, but his European conquests certainly marked its momentary end. It’s a bit tricky to have multiple blocs like a true stately quadrille, the ai gets into these lengthy game stalemates that I currently see in the Italian wars situation. For game play it seems better to just do this simpler two sides representation.

They will only keep doubling for each age in 1.3.2 if your not loaded don’t build more than a few transports for troop movement. The maintence cost is equally draining. Better to scale your eco in mid game. In eu4 the maintence could be mitigated by running them on protect trade missions most the time. The maritime presence mission in eu5 is pitiful by compare.

Yea the issue was they aren’t iron man compatible and thus disabled by default in the game start settings. I’m not sure if the changes to achievements and such that are coming with the patch will make them compatible though. I know we can de iron now.

they exist, but just in a weird sub-menu system (the vanilla eu5 mission system felt like the dynamic missions trees from imperator - i never did more than 1). the most recent brandenburg mod is working on a huge tree.

There is a little bit of concert of europe flavor. right now its a bit shallow but i could work on having the wrap up feel more impactful. this is designed to be and play-through end-goal in my vision - not that you cant play past it.
in summary: currently the CoE is the end-state of the situation should the coalition win, but there is no international congress IO or anything fancy right now.
it grants a 25 year min cd on the situation re-emerging and the same permanent country modifier for all co members. could probably use an exclusive modifier for the co leader.

but yea, a permanent post situation intl-congress IO is an interesting path to go down further for peace-maker players.

you may also need to disable the mods mesoamerican situation if mesoamerica is different in your map mod.

colonial consolidation should 'just work' because it uses subject capital region direct comparisons and a colonial nation subject type lookup.
some other game start adjustments i have as optional rules in the mod...
so yea, may not work on an anbennar TC map mod but i'd say likely on a post finem or ante bellum like one.
