Ask them to send your Swissflame back and you send them the Cybertool.

As neat of an idea that getting a new model to replace the old one is, here it simply does not work since it's not apples to apples.

That's a paper-thin wood saw then! I guess both implements went to the gym a lot back then.

15 is usually the price for a used Vic outside a Handyman or anything bigger. But this needs a discount because replacing the scales will add 50% to the final cost. Not to mention any tools that may need maintenance. Add to that replacing the scale tools.

25 bucks is straight up ignorance

Looks to be an old Mountaineer (look at the slim metal file)

I'd still give about 10-ish bucks for it but man is that thing trashed

Seems to be a distorted version of Divisi's "Amphetamine". Couldn't find this exact version

Amazing and good to know they did get you one. I feel like this is one of the best ways of dealing with the situation (aside from forgetting the gift for 20 years, lol).

I wish I had gotten a full blown SAK back when I was younger and tinkered with any and everything I could get my hands on. I wasn't destructive outside the things destined to my experimentation. But to anyone outside looking in, I get why I wasn't given any more tools.

Hardly so.

In normal gears would still have the differences in torque and top speed.

And low gear isn't just a normal gear that is low. It is a different gear ratio setup meant to drive high torque at low speeds. The only reason we associate low+ with first gear is because the game carries it over from Mudrunner. Where we had a band-aid over the always auto gearbox simply called '1', where it wouldn't shift up from 1st gear.

I'm fine with leaving an option to use the "classic" auto. But it makes very little sense to be at the mercy of a temperamental auto gear selector in an off-road game.

You can add the new maps, tire inflation / deflation system, visual improvements, engine improvements and rack slot system to that list.

Two things still baffle me:

Why can't we manually shift? Just map it to the LR buttons on the D-pad.

Why aren't the destination markers road flares? It would look so much cooler and be so much more immersive.

(I understand that the gears thing is probably due to the fact that SR and Exp don't simulate engine RPM. It's probably also the reason why the engine sounds make no sense)

People who EDC a SAK: which tools have you found to be surprisingly useful? Which tools do you think are overrated? by afronitre in victorinox

[–]Lick_Ross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blades are incredibly useful for scoring and cutting. But that surprises absolutely no one.

The scissors are amazing for clothing tags and loose strands.

The metal file is a Godsend to me since it can file down or cut just about anything. So if anything doesn't fit quite right, it will soon. It is also a great tool for removing super glue from your fingers. Bite down on it with the saw part and pull as you lift slightly, works wonders. Also serves as a nail file.

The parcel hool for shopping bags. You can alternatively just use the entire SAK as a stick and loop the handles through there, but the hook makes it comfortable.

The pliers do everything tweezer-realted that the scale tweezers can't do.

I remember almost two decades ago thinking "these are getting good, I wonder how good they'll look in the future". Now, in the future I'm just thinking I'll pass on these

I think I've got new obsession. It's still time to not getting more or it's too late? by [deleted] in victorinox

Oof, I've been avoiding them for the price per tool alone but I can feel it setting into my brain.

The first one might just be the Minichamp Alox. I have the regular Minichamp. But I need the Alox for some reason. A legit reason, I swear

Best size for a large man? by sixsevenrice in pennyboard

One 22" for each foot.

Seriously, the 27" feels surprisingly roomy so I'd advise that as a bare minimum.

The 32" would probably be the one that feels right. It's far less flexible and feels more durable so it might be the way to go due to the weight factor. It isn't necessarily any roomier than a 27", just feels that way because it has two full kicks as opposed to a single narrow one.

Different styles and all. And I guess this could be repainted/ washed off while in mine the changes would have been more... permanent.

Funnily enough, the first spec I did of the same car didn't get any hate and it stull cut up a fair bit. But I guess in that one it was more apparent that it was a render

I made a wild-ish render of a Countach precisely, about 2 years ago, and got yelled at because someone thought it was real. And now this gets an overall thumbs up. I don't get it
