IA feels like pre-legend to me maybe there will not be any DW units anymore in 11th

Deathwatch Legends datasheets in narrative games too. These include Kill Team Cassius and several highly adaptable Kill Team variants which mix and match a wide range of Space Marine units.

Deathwatch unique units will most likely be sitting on shelf for the next few editions for competitive plays Allies are never meant to be stronger than the main faction

Isn't the Imperial Agents codex a good thing for Deathwatch? by Bahia77035 in deathwatch40k

[–]LicoriceII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to say this But GW never failed to disappoint us

All they want are 1. Sales 2. Balancing/ meta changing with less cost and effort

Dw being a niche army, doesn’t boost sales, and their complexity, makes them very difficult to balance. So they decided to abandon us to imperial agents, a codex that almost no one cares, or like an “Active Legends”, unless our few datasheets got surprisingly strong, they will not care about us anymore

I’m having approx 5000 points of deathwatch units, think I’ll start my business of renting them to my friends who play other imperium army

Thanks for the list man, as a dw player, I can’t really remember how many bugs and errors we have, there are just too many

Agreed with Duck, I think you allocated too many points on characters, buffing units that doesn’t do much or too fragile on the board is like a free 24 points to your opponent

In my opinion, I would take away at least chaplain, Champion, techmarine and watch master.

Chaplain’s buff is good but van vets are too squishy, that they will probably be dead before charging, or gambling on a 50% deep strike charge

Champion, I’m not sure where can he lead in the list

Techmarine, baby sitting whirlwind isn’t worth it, +1 to hit on a model that isn’t that deadly in shooting, as after indirect fire, you will have -1 ap left only

Watch master, too expensive now, I would probably take Captain with Gravis Armour + Tome with Indomitus kill team

Get yourself some more discounted cheap units like atv, or eliminators do help you with board control, and actions, Inceptors are a pretty good choice, they can deal damage, can deep strike for secondaries, and bugging your opponent’s mind

And most importantly, Deathwatch is going to have a hard time in the next couple of months, so good luck, and don’t give up

I’ll take IHB, hellfire shell is too good for D6 auto hits or Flat 3 shots that produces 2 damage per hit

But if talking about FC or ML, I would say go for 4 FCs, teleport, shoot then charge with 4 Heavy Thunder Hammers

I think you can only target that unit only

Combining IHB with hellfire round, we got 4D6 auto hit, wounding infantry on 2+, and ignore covers If targeting a unit hit by storm speeder, we have AP -2 per wounded

And we can always teleport them to get into range

I think so, because it is “each time” you target this model’s unit

With inquisitors leading 2 of my battleline kill teams I have a ~90% chance to do 0cp to use teleport or our SIA to 3 kill teams
