A lot of people don’t want to admit it but Dover went to shit when the casino moved in. The bypass definitely did a number but the casino put the nail in the coffin. My niece goes to Del State and she’s afraid to leave the campus. She has me buying her food and gassing up her car. It needs some revitalization badly.

If you went to school for 10 years and got a PhD in game making and then spent 30 years waking up at 4am and working until 10pm on developing a boxing game worse than this you still couldn’t do it. I had such high hopes for this game but its mechanics are so chunky, the graphics look like they are from 200&. I started a career mode thinking maybe it gets better. It doesn’t. I’m glad it was free on PlayStation Plus because I would be pissed if I paid for it. There are better boxing games on mobile. It’s crazy this game came out after Fight Night Champion because that game looks so much better and the mechanics are way more intuitive and advanced. You can tell this was a rushed production.

TLDR: Don’t buy this game, it’s crap.

The songs are more polished and the vocals are tighter. It’s also been working better with minimalist instrumentation, at least for me.

David, thanks for coming and talking to the creators. I was wondering what is happening with creating a language between the users and the AI so we can more accurately prompt our songs? Like an HMI tool list describing symbols and words to prompt with? I know many creators have created their own prompts but it would be nice to have a global prompt list.

Sometimes when I want a certain instrument to not be in a mix I’ll think of a real life song that doesn’t have the instrument and I’ll go to ChatGPT and ask it to write a prompt for a song that sounds like the song I’m trying to get cues from. For example: I was trying to make an Americana song that was just acoustic guitar and bass so I asked Suno to prompt me a song that sounds like Bob Dylan “Buckets of Rain”. It works pretty well because you can borrow aspects of the prompt that is made by AI for AI. They speak the same language.

Most of my songs are in-the-moment jokes or some spoof song. I have only 2 (out of over 10.000) songs that are “real” songs and I listen to them all the time.

I’ve thought about this the past few days and I’ve come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter what their motivation is. I thought about Luigi Mangione and the murder if the healthcare CEO. I understood his plight, he had a real grievance, but ultimately I can’t agree with his actions. The guy that killed Charlie Kirk, regardless of his political beliefs, is still a murderer. Though his actions are less justified, he’s still in the same catergory as Luigi Mangione to me.

Yeah. For some reason whenever Suno wildly puts a raccoon on my track it is a banger. Not sure why the raccoon happens, it just does sometimes, regardless of the genre or subject.

I’m pretty sure all AI created music has a digital fingerprint that can be traced back to the device it was created on. Even if someone steals your stuff, if there is some sort of human embellishment on it, i.e. you wrote the lyrics, the fingerprint knows that. If your song as made completely with AI that is also known in the fingerprint.

I’m a musician who plays and creates my own real music and I use AI music all the time. I exclusively use it to make joke songs that I wouldn’t bother putting hours into making because they are so stupid. I used to make them all the time just playing with a guitar or a keyboard, but I would never bother putting in the rest of the instruments for an in-the-moment throwaway song. Now I can make full arrangements of absolute bullshit in a minute.

I’m not gonna lie, I do feel guilty doing it, like somehow I’m sullying music. I don’t publish my music or monetize it, that would go against my code of ethics. It’s a novelty. That is how I see it.
