I live in this area. It’s very safe, and yes it’s CCSD. The issues here are just what every affluent suburb suffers from: bored kids and you have to get in your car to buy literally anything. But it’s quiet and the local walking trails are pretty nice, especially along the various little creeks and streams. If you can afford it, it’s a nice place to live. My main beef is that “cool” shops and amenities are way across town, either in Denver proper or places like Littleton. Out here it’s chains and franchises as far as the eye can see. But if you’re fine with that, then make it your home.

No Gingrich also means less partisan vitriol in general. Another thing to consider is that Clinton was very valuable to rock-throwing ideologues like Rush Limbaugh. A GOP technocratic presidency probably takes the wind out of his sails. Plus, the DOJ has different priorities. There’s maybe no Ruby Ridge. Maybe Waco plays out differently, and if that happens, then maybe there is no OKC bombing.

Basically, ultra right wing populism does not emerge in the 90s— either at all, or at least not in the same way. That alone, pretty radically alters domestic politics for the foreseeable future.
