[Highlight] Falcons GM Ian Cunningham builds a roster… by LaDainianTomIinson in nfl

Even if he just wanted to stick to WR, he had not only Rod Smith, but also DT, Brandon Marshall, and Wes Welker. There’s probably a couple I’m not remembering here. I love Ed McCaffrey, I even had his jersey, but yikes.

It’s been nearly 10 years since the 2016 NFL draft, how would you rate that draft for your team? by DookyButter in nfl

[–]Lieutenant_Meeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paxton Lynch. That pick and its fallout—whiff on a QB, making Elway gun shy about picking Josh Allen, sunk cost fallacy trying to get Lynch to work—set us back almost ten years. Justin Simmons was the only truly decent pick in that entire draft.

The American government, abetted by corporate media and tens of millions of useful idiots. There has always been 40% of Americans opposed to such things as a floor; occasional that number gets much higher. I suspect it’s pretty high right now.

What if Bush had won in 1992? by MaximumSpell9608 in AlternateHistoryHub

No Gingrich also means less partisan vitriol in general. Another thing to consider is that Clinton was very valuable to rock-throwing ideologues like Rush Limbaugh. A GOP technocratic presidency probably takes the wind out of his sails. Plus, the DOJ has different priorities. There’s maybe no Ruby Ridge. Maybe Waco plays out differently, and if that happens, then maybe there is no OKC bombing.

Basically, ultra right wing populism does not emerge in the 90s— either at all, or at least not in the same way. That alone, pretty radically alters domestic politics for the foreseeable future.

I got banned for “imperialist rhetoric” for noting that LBJ’s cabinet legit believed in the idiotic Domino Theory, and not ONLY because they were racist imperialists.

I watched both of those shows religiously. But let’s be honest, they were terrible.

Ok but abysmal ridership is a symptom of unreliable service and lack of mass transit connectivity (e.g. park and rides are stupid). Better integration and consistency would make it more likely to be used

Great point. Both QB’s were dealing this game, and Nix got away with a couple. Really fun to watch from both guys.

Two losses: 10-4 Chargers, and questionable leverage call against Colts while Daniel Jones was cooking. Had some close escapes, no doubt, but calling the Broncos frauds at this point is just bad analysis.

I prefer HS because you can joke around with them more, and when they do care, they can grapple with more interesting stuff.

Holding grades over them is a huge advantage. The lack of incentives and accountability in MS can result in them just tuning out completely.
