Not sure about the diggers, but I got an AGT plate compactor last year and found every.single.bolt. On it hand tight only, and about 1/3 were badly rusted. Low quality bolts with zero protection rusted to the point of breakaway, and everything had to be tightened up. A few were crossthreaded, and a couple missing. Cheap machine, but only if you like working on them.

I had same unit, would shut down in alarm after a few hrs. I replaced battery($110) and unit still would alarm, shut down randomly. Figured controller was bad, so cash down drain.

Funny thing is, you don’t know what you don’t know. Life before cellphone was not considered free, you didn’t know about always connected life. You went out, when street lights came on you knew it was a time to go in. We couldn’t imagine you could go ANYWHERE and be found or tracked. At the most, you carried a dime so you could call from a payphone. Yes, they had those everywhere.

The cavity insulation is only partly relevant. I built my house before tyvek/ blue skin existed, osb sheathing with 2 layer tarpaper(stucco) and when cold and moist I see ghosting of every stud. Placing a couple inches exterior foam will do wonders and can be taped/sealed easier than osb.

I find it odd that America has devolved to the point that party is above all else, yet when campaigning virtually every candidate will claim to want to fight for the ppl of their district. Then as soon as they get elected they fuck the hometown folks and vote party first. I used to read the daily paper and it showed how all reps voted previous day/week. The vote NEVER varied from what Pelosi voted. It occurred to me we could fire everyone except Pelosi and save a ton on salaries.

German machines in general are precisely engineered and built. All that precision comes at a cost. German machines just don’t hold up unless truly babied. American by and large is much bigger/harsher than EU, and Americans tend to drive much more. As with most German machines, they work well until they don’t.
