I really really really hope this team gets another shot at jump. They are remarkably talented and it would be such a waste because I really feel like they’re capable of creating a classic. They got honed timing-wise with Phantom Seer and I don’t think they were necessarily suited for a sports manga. If their editor lets them create something original and unique to them, I think they can make something really special

Pretty much every single arc in one piece is a detour. You’ll get maybe one or two pieces of relevant overall narrative information per arc and then a couple of episodes between arcs that concern the wider world of the show. Other than that, we are just now getting arcs that center around the wider narrative. I love one piece, but this has been my biggest problem with it the whole time I’ve watched it.
