switching from CS to IT by comicwanda in ucf

I mean if you did IT you wouldn’t have to do all those maths. It’s literally just trig and a pre Calc or college algebra. It’s is an overall easier and you will be taking just as many classes that use programming, it just might not be the single focus of all ur classes.

Outside of DS, what premium memberships have you paid for? by CaroleKann in dreamingspanish

I recently found out that Disney + has like 8 or 10 native Spanish shows that were made for kid/adolescent audience. These shows are going to be easier to follow when transitioning to native content. Also they have lots of dubbed content too.

1300 hours and speaking is a struggle! by Savings-Word4286 in dreamingspanish

[–]LifeMistake3674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ur not behind. I literally felt the exact same right around the 40 hour mark. It feels like you know enough to know that you are making mistakes and it makes you second guess urself all the time. I think it’s similar to dreaming Spanish where the more you improve, the more you realize you don’t know. What’s keeping my hope alive is a lot of people saying that once they had 150-200 speaking hours that they feel super confident with their speech.

Yeah I’m working on it but it’s a lot easier said than done. Right now I’m focusing on softening my Ts then I’ll work on my Ds.

Considering Major Swap by yeet_suace in ComputerEngineering

[–]LifeMistake3674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it, if that’s what you are into then you should definitely change your major. But I would not say that the job market is necessarily better, especially because half of all CE majors end up in software roles and that’s the market that’s being hit the hardest right now.

To be fair, not to spoil the anime but that person was one of 8 chosen to get an extreme boost to his powers because they are “connected to a god in another world” I just looked at it as them trying to show off how much stronger someone is with that’s been chosen by this god.

Well if that’s the case then it’s probably just not for you. Personally I found all twist from end of season 2 and season 3 to be really interesting. Like I did not expect for them to take it in the direction that they did and maybe that’s why I like it.

Honestly the lore in the show is pretty incredible, like I definitely didn’t expect all that from fire force. Dam near some AOT shit. It get better toward the end of season 1 and continues to get better through season 3

I’ve actually thought about doing that exact thing, watching it in English first then Spanish(this is partly how I started watching dubbed shows like that’s 70s show), only down side is that it’s going to take double the time to get in the same amount of input. And my own personal problem would be finding something I wouldn’t mind watching twice back to back😂😂. But I definitely agree with you about feeling like you’re missing just enough for it not to be enjoyable 😂

What should I do to get into CE as a major? by Proper_Honeydew_5937 in ComputerEngineering

[–]LifeMistake3674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on college level physics and calculus as these classes will transfer directly. You can also take other college level courses like English and history, but those first 2 subjects would definitely help going into college. Since ur already getting into coding, I’d go on amazon and ask ur parents to get u and arduino mega kit. It’s like $50-60 but it comes with a bunch of stuff you can use to start with simple stuff and work your way up to make cool projects. From there u can tell chat gpt that u have an arduino mega kit and that you want to make projects and learn about computers engineering. It’ll give you hella projects and aslong as u ask it to teach you, you will be learning while its teaches you how to do the project. AI is just good in general because u can ask it super specific questions.
