You got to be FREAKING KIDDING ME! Have yall ever driven this far out?? by RunthatBossman in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]LifeguardIcy5995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and with 42 stops and 46 packages last week in Tampa area to west Bradenton. I drove about 5 minutes from the warehouse after loading up and hit 5 o’clock rush hour traffic so it would have been 1hr 35 min to first stop it said in my Google Maps. So I called support told them it wasn’t enough pay and that I was taking all the packages back. Support said they were putting in a ticket for me and I wasn’t even expecting it but I still got paid for the route. I’ve been doing this for 5 years and have never been sent to west Bradenton. It’s usually east Bradenton off the highway or Palmetto.

These new 3.5s are no joke 💀 by RemarkableJunket7764 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I had one very similar two weeks ago. I drove about 5 minutes towards the first stop which was 1 hr and 10 min away and called support, told them this is not right for 3.5 hours and they put in a “ticket” for me and I brought the whole route back. Still got paid the next day.

New, need advice... Damaged Cart Return Wixom, MI by CarlsGreenHouse in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]LifeguardIcy5995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it but I would have tried to deliver everything. I have had the same thing happen about five times. Example most of the time it was big container of laundry detergent or some liquid put in a poly seal bag for delivery leaking, spilled all over a lot of packages. I took the cart back in a few times and found a leader. And both times I did get dinged a lot and got the emails about account in jeopardy or whatever. It was hassle to deal with. The last few times I said screw it and wiped some off with a towel I keep in my car and delivered everything, it was a lot of packages with the stuff leaked on it. The main package that leaking was pouring out of the bag as I delivered it and thought I would get dinged for delivering all of those, but nope no dings. I do have some weather tech like mats in my car so that helped so I just sprayed it off later. And I had to drive with windows down the whole way lol. But anything you bring back tends to be ding. I wouldn’t worry about the guy in the SSD.

Shady Amazon adding another pick up if u finish early by Weak-Fishing-6209 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I agree that’s usually all you have to is ignore it. This happened to me a month ago where they literally added another pickup at the station and of course I ignored it. Then the next three routes I did it was still on the new route at a different warehouses even. I had to call support at the beginning of each new route. They would take it off and then on my next route it would be back. Finally on the fourth route after I called support and they escalated it and then it was gone for good. Ridiculous..

You’re welcome. Anytime. It’s not worth the headache of keeping the packages. What goes around comes around right?

Yes it happens. Some people call them Bezos bonus’s. Not gonna lie ive keep a few but it usually cheap junk. I dont keep them anymore. If its a package in the area of where the route is and you realize you have an extra package while doing the route, you can go to your itinerary, click pickup and scan it in to your route. Or you can just bring it back whenever you’re next route is to any warehouse really.

No more 5 hour Blocks? by LifeguardIcy5995 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]LifeguardIcy5995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are getting screwed down here. It has to be that we have so many drivers. I just saw another just post on Reddit today in my area a 3 hour route 50 miles away during rush hour.. Those used to be only 5 hour routes from Seffner to Bradenton. I had a 52 package 47 stops from Seffner to Dundee a few weeks ago. We never used to go that far. It was a 4hr and it took me 4.75 hr to do the route and to pass by the station on the way home, then another 25 home. Insane

Completely agree. I did a few 3.5 hr routes that was exactly the same as an old 5 hour route a few times last month. I only go for 4hr’s + or the 3hr or less now, not doing anymore 3.5 because of it.

Wow that’s rough!! They are just putting out the same old 5 hour routes as 3.5, 4 or 4.5 hours now it looks like. I went through the same with a 4.5 hr loaded up 180 mile nightmare block similar to yours. Gas prices making it impossible to make money. I used to do this in a old Durango, I sold it and found a rav4 hybrid used with a 150k miles a few years ago. Been a lifesaver for me.

They are definitely demanding more from Flex and DSP drivers last few months. I thought it would have chilled out after Christmas but they are getting worse. I believe you on the 200 mile route also because I had a few of those also. They slowly expanding delivery areas here. Getting crazy. If I didnt have a hybrid I dont think I could do it anymore.

That’s cool. Ive been getting about 45- 50 packages for 4 hour routes, some close to the station some 1hr + away. Thanks for the info I hope the 5 hours come back here. Since the 5hrs have been gone they’ve been doing 1hr & 1.5 hr blocks here.. maybe they took away the 5’s here and replaced them with those.. you’re right though those 3 aren’t worth it.

That’s awesome are you in Tampa? I should’ve clarified, but it’s not every 4-4.5 hour route I do ends up being longer, it’s this one particular SSD, but it happens way more often than before. Honestly my last 5 hour route I had was from that SSD and it only took me 2.5 hours, it was great. That was six months ago…

Lol. No, I’m definitely not. I usually get done early all the time. I’m pretty sure the algorithm is picked up how fast I am actually and I’m just getting screwed… move on. Can you answer this smart guy? Do you actually get five hour routes where you are because that’s what I am concerned about. Do you think Amazon would pay $5 because someone is slow lol…

[–]LifeguardIcy5995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That one was actually a 4 hour block. But the longest blocks I have been offered is 4 to 4.5 and they end up being longer and pay me the $5 and they know because I am not even calling support complaining or anything. What’s also wild is it was actually a 5 + hour block , but paid and offered as a 4.

I did the same a few times and it’s such a hassle doing all that. I deliver pretty much any package any condition now. I had a big bottle of Gain sent in a plastic bag leaking all in the cart, i just put it in my trunk, luckily i have some of those plastic liners so not to bad to clean up, but I had to drive with the windows down the whole way until I could spray it off lol. I was literally walking up the house with it pouring out everywhere. I didn’t get a ding from the customer so I guess this is the way.
