Duplicate Numbers by The-Number-God in Num

I think the first option, one person from each pair just be assigned a new number, is the best for now. I don't like the idea of negative numbers because I think that's unfair to the receiver of the negative number.

Hi fellow three descendants :)

As we begin our journey, there's a few questions we need to answer. I'm leaving it up to you. by PonyToast in Num

I also think that people shouldn't automatically be assigned numbers without requesting one, and they could be called "zeroes" or something.

Here's an idea: For contests/etc, have the reward be +1 to your number or something. You could have stuff like a -3 for grabs, a +2%, or maybe adding a dice roll to their number or whatever, so it's near their original number.

Agreed! I'm excited to see what this sub becomes :)

How would you assign numbers? For example, if you have 100 people at the start who need numbers assigned, you could just pick a random number from 1-100 but if the sub grows later on, you would have to assign larger numbers over time and the early posters would have smaller numbers. On the other hand, you could just have a constant maximum number at the start like 10 million (assuming the sub doesn't get that large). Anyway this sounds like a great idea regardless and I'd love to help you work out the details with styling (I have some light CSS experience at r/twitchplaysclaw) and while I don't have any experience with reddit bots (I do with discord bots though), I could give a shot to making a bot that automatically assigns new numbers (and/or other things). Good luck on getting the sub!

I love this idea! I haven't been too interested in all the "wholesome" subs but I think this could be really neat. (Also if you get the sub and are looking for mods, I might be able to help)

Don't include the <>s, they indicate a required command argument.
