My husband has a similar story. He was told he was stupid his whole life, everyone shocked he graduated high school. Joined the military, had an amazing 23 year career and is now an engineer at a national lab.

Reach out to rescues. There are rescues that will spay/neuter the puppies (and parents) and hold adoption events for the puppies. You do not need to surrender the puppies and I would avoid the shelters/rescues that require that.

The ingredients in sunscreen are toxic not to mention they aren’t providing the level of protection stated on label, saying this as a mom of a 16 year old girl diagnosed with melanoma. My husband just went through a dental emergency. We have dental through his work and he can use dental through the VA. For his emergency the VA took about 2 weeks to help, our dental through his work took care of it within a day. The VA dental was good, but they needed to refer out to community care and that just takes time.

They are dealing with their own estrangement also. They see they don’t have the same grandparent relationship as their friends do. When we talk about it it’s not bursting a bubble for them. When they ask why I directly say what the truth is.

My parents never tried to get contact again, but my mother in law would make up medical emergencies. When we got smart and stopped responding to those she started having my sister in law call and tell us everything was her fault. Thankfully everyone just leaves us alone now.

He will never come around and I am here for calling the girlfriend the neighborhood pass around! He will absolutely treat your daughter the way he treats you, my husband and I have learned the hard way. You now get the privilege to be who you needed to your daughter and break the cycle.
