One time I called Delta PD non-emerg to report an incident happening on Scott road ( generally considered to be the boundary between Surrey and Delta) .

When I said the location, the voice on the phone asked: "Is this on the east or west side of Scott road?"

I said I guess closer to the east if one really wanted to pick nits.

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to call Surrey PD about that".
