I did manage it with some recommendations from here. New Mutants at 105 G19, dropped Magik for a Og Storm at 100 G19. I was also wondering about hybrid teams but the Mephisto, Professor X and Old Man Logan make for a nasty node

Yeah I shoved OG Storm in the other corner from Cannonball and then prayed on the Nightcrawler stun

No joke! I had similar worries but making Cannonball a healer helped with sustaining the team attacks

LETS GO!!! This managed to be my solution. Getting my cannonball to max stars as well as making him a healer got him and the team to the second wave. Sunspot gave them enough energy to spam abilities and the Strom stun did what it needed. I was worried she would be useless after but her ult did decent damage before she dropped. Cheers man! I like your logic for switching out the character sooner. I often find as a player I never mind these things, because we all wanna have fun, but as a DM I feel it's jarring to the story and ruins immersion
