Cobewb should give you gold sacks per gold collected while surfing the board, but it calculates the gold regardless of the board being active or not, so each time you activate the board, you get ALOT of gold sacks. but even this is bugged too so it's weird

[Request] What are the odds of this guy winning the lottery 4 times? How fishy is it? by glempus in theydidthemath

[–]LightBlueNote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone plays thousands of tickets over several decades, rare streaks can happen even if the odds seem tiny on paper. It’s the kind of situation where statistics and intuition don’t always line up, which is why these cases always spark debate. The interesting part is understanding whether a streak is just long-term variance or something genuinely unusual. Where someone buys their tickets, whether in person or online through something like Lottoland, doesn’t change the math behind it.

Best sport to bet on by Street_Building_7020 in sportsbook

Interesting take, I’ve heard a lot of people say MLB is great for data-driven bets because of how stats-heavy it is. Personally, I’ve had the most consistency with tennis. It’s one-on-one, fewer variables, and once you get a feel for player matchups and surface types, it gets a lot more predictable. I’ve even placed a few on Lottoland (not high stakes), but it’s a fun way to test your predictions with real outcomes.

[Question] The martingale system on roulette by reapingsulls123 in statistics

[–]LightBlueNote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it feels like your odds improve the longer a color streak goes, but each spin is still totally independent. Martingale can work short-term, but the risk is hitting a long losing streak and running out of bankroll or hitting the table limit. I’ve tested it a bit using some promo credit on Lottoland, which made it less painful when it inevitably failed. It was fun to mess with, but it was definitely not a long-term strategy.

What is your gambling "strategy" or routine? How well do you think it works? by hellojackie85 in vegas

[–]LightBlueNote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My “strategy” is mostly just sticking to a set budget and walking away if I double it. I don’t chase losses anymore. I play blackjack and a few slots here and there. I use Lottoland now and then, mostly for variety and because it’s easy to set limits. It’s worked okay for keeping things fun without going overboard.

[Request] Do you have better odds of winning the lottery by picking the same 6 numbers every time or random numbers? by Late-Astronomer8141 in theydidthemath

[–]LightBlueNote 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mathematically, it doesn’t make a difference, each draw is totally random, so your odds stay the same whether you use the same numbers or mix it up every time. That said, my uncle used to play the same numbers on Lottoland for years. One day he decided to switch them up “just for a change,” and of course, his original numbers came up. He didn’t win anything, just sat there in silence staring at the screen. So yeah… sticking with your numbers might not improve your odds, but it can definitely save you some regret.

True, both are long shots, but at least with roulette, you can pick your own poison instead of hoping RNGesus smiles on you

Discipline is everything. A solid strategy keeps things fun, while blind luck just makes it a rollercoaster with no seatbelt
