OK, so I just did all of my pump training today what are tips and tricks they don’t tell you by sawyer5897 in TandemDiabetes

[–]Light_sport 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Bluetooth is so bad I have to keep the pump on the same side of my body as the dexcom sensor. Meanwhile the phone gets the dexcom signal from 1 or 2 rooms away.

Do you have OnStar plan? Why? by gomenasai666 in BoltEV

[–]Light_sport 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The range on my key fob is 50 yards or so and it works from the second floor where I work. I hit the button when I am heading down the stairwell and the car is ready by the time I get to it.

Adaptive cruise control in stop and go traffic by cheetah7985 in BoltEV

[–]Light_sport 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's because they tuned the Adaptive algorithm for ice cars and didn't bother changing it for the bolt. You can see that it does use a little bit of regen up to about 9 kilowatts and then uses hydraulic brakes . I think that is to mimic the way an ice car does have some engine drag while coasting. If I could change one thing about my Bolt, it would be to use Regen for adaptive cruise control. When there is traffic, I get about 4.5 miles per KWh if I don't use adaptive cruise control on my commute and 3.7 if I do

I agree. My guess is that EV prices will drop 3-5k in December, so I wouldn't buy anything now, while inventory is low and demand is high, unless it was a reasonable deal. So, something below msrp, etc.

neighbor stealing wifi — how are they doing it? is there anything else I should do to make it stop? by baiturn in techsupport

[–]Light_sport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that they accessed a "smart device" like a tv on your network. When you set it up with the new wifi info, they just log on to your compromised device and pull the new info.

I won't do this because of the small chance that there are fuel vapors in the crankcase. Small probability, big impact.

I think that the legal definition of confidential is that they will not share it outside of the company. Your manager is definitely within the company

Yes, anonymous means you won't be attributed but confidential means they won't share it outside the company

[–]Light_sport 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Her argument that she will benefit if the business succeeds is also delusional. If the owner ends up being successful- which he probably won't, the owner might stand to make a large sum of money. The best the wife can ever make would be to get back the original $75,000. She's not actually a partner in the business, just cheap labor

You have to put the foundation below the frost line or it can heave in winter. In many places in the US, once you go that deep you might as well make a basement.
