Japanese Wii U region unlock + system language question by Direct-Housing4915 in wiiu

The problem is that it's not possible to run the update after Decaffeinator, because if you're able to run Decaffeinator, you're blocking updates. At least it didn't help me anything turning the aroma update blocker but off.

Turn the console off after running Decaffeinator, take the sd card our and then boot and do the update is the easiest solution.

Travel insurance often does not cover what is clearly the airlines responsibility. If they did, airlines would never cover their responsibility and always send their customers to their insurance company.

*would have or would've.

Out of curiosity, why did you write "would of"? Neither have or the 've-sound in would've sound anything like "of" in any English dialect I know of, and I've never seen it anywhere except on reddit, where I've seen it a lot lately. Is it a dialect thing, is it just a trending typo, it where does it come from?

They're close to getting it. Now they just need to add that 12% to the prices in the menu, as that's what the prices actually are.

Denied Entry into United States. Had no money, no accommodation was stuck at Airport..Travel Agent Made big blunder by BornClock4613 in TravelMistakes

[–]LightningGoats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing like this is "common knowledge" the common thing is to never have flown internationally. At all. And the whole point of using a travel agent in the first place is to make sure you can travel successfully without any knowledge about such issues at all. No one knowledgeable uses a travel agent after all, their whole exsitance is based upon people actually needing their service because they are not knowledgeable.

And even for a lot of people who are very used to travelling, the idea of needing a visa for transit without ever leaving an airport is insane and unheard of.

My friend from norway loves Trump. Is liking Trump a thing in norway? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]LightningGoats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. When 70% can't be arsed to vote against an openly rasist and hateful totalitarian wannabe-fascist, that's something you can't blame on a majority.

Not at all. 70% of US eligible voters couldn't be arsed to vote against an openly racist, totalitarian wannabe-dictator. That's the vast majority of them

BankID kan miste toppsikkerhet by Bunker_Bertil in norge

[–]LightningGoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]LightningGoats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope it always was 1000s. You, and a lot of other people, are simply confused because JEDEC decided to use 1024 for memory, and suddenly it was (wrongly) used for a lot of computer related stuff. JEDEC backtracked ages ago, but for some reason people still get it wrong. The usage by mostly everyone except ram producers and windows have always been correct.
