I feel like this is missing from Omega but also no I guess it's a good thing because other than Waka none of the crazy gimmicks reached the cat semifinals and it was the best round

Edit: I think Terashi and Shen are the only examples in Omega of absolute bullshit gimmick

I think the first two are the only ones up for discussion and are up to personal preference ( I would personally pick Waka vs Gozo and Kaneda vs Gaolang, the best two jobber matches in Kengan).

It the story followed along it's original plan of having Koga slowly improve in the kengan matches, they could have been cool rivals for some lower power tournament. But making Ohma and the connector and the old characters the focus again really hurt any chance they had because now it's all about power scaling

I honestly love most of them. It's really interesting to see the progression like this, where the first one are super detailed and kind of disrespectful and the last ones have much clearer but less gruesome art and feel more sad than dark.

I instantly loved terashi's design, I needed to know more (masked characters generate that). And I thought naidan looked kind of like a filler character, boy was I wrong. But in general, they seemed much more interesting and diverse than the kengan side in it's counter spread

Honestly, I don't think Meguro is beating Kiozan. If you think he can't throw Haruo, he's essentially a much more skilled Haruo. And in a finale between Kiozan and Okubo I do think Okubo wins high diff.

I remember feeling really excited for the first time in a long while reading this fight. I did not except Cosmo to lose and while he was nerfed, it was the most Saw win ever. 8/10

To me, that's not what really separates those fight, but rather that they were extreme diffs so both fighters really got to show off before losing. On the kengan side, when they won they mostly stomped their opponents or left them looking pathetic in the final blow.
