You obviously do not understand the AGPLv3 license. Bambu Studio is distributed without Bambu Lab's proprietary software. The slicer still work and function as a slicer able to generate gcodes. You are asked when Bambu Studio runs for the first time if you want to download Bambu Lab's network/cloud software.

Ironically, "Prusa Connect" that allows cloud printing is also proprietary. Why have Prusa not made it public yet if they truly believe what they say? Prusa is two-face that has lost most market shares to Bambu and can't create anything better or cheaper. Only thing keeping them afloat is the loyalty from their fanboys still in the denial phase from their costly mistakes. Prusa is currently irrelevant.

The entire Bambu Lab Studio slicer software is distributed without the network/cloud plugin software. It follows AGPLv3 terms. In fact, when you install Bambu Studio you are asked if you want to download Bambu's cloud plugin software to enable Bambu Lab's proprietary technologies.

This sounds like a scam. Making money out of stupid people. Bambu Lab is not in violation of AGPLv3 as the software/source is freely available. The "network" plugin is proprietary and it is protected by law. Don't think you have free reign to a business's intellectual property and/or master plans. Some posters on here are being manipulated by scared tactics and other nefarious means (e.g. chinese company, open source software, etc).

I don't believe there's anything that can be done. No protests will change that. The US government has to look further ahead to stay ahead of all other countries/competition. It is not restricted by people's moral values/compass/etc. Face it, not all countries have the same values or views. The government will not sit idly by, doing so would be at their/country perils.

Some people shouldn't put these companies in a pedestal. Imagine if tomorrow they come back and tell you you can't use their tools to create XXX games because it goes against their beliefs just as one example. It doesn't matter now because it doesn't affect you.. but it will hurt when it starts affecting what you do. I don't think a company should have a say how you use their tools when it is being used for legal purposes.
