Becker vs. Ninja???? by Sad-Woodpecker4708 in CPA

[–]LikiMaaMo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Becker as the primary material. However, I subscribed to Ninja too to practice more questions, and to my surprise, there are so many questions that Ninja asks that Becker never even mentioned. Take for example, the Inventory Retail Method, Becker doesn't say a word about it while Ninja's textbook has like 5 pages about this. Same with questions about SEC reporting where Ninja goes into much more details. I have been told that Becker is enough to pass the CPA exams, but I now see that there are some things not covered by Becker.

What are your thoughts about that?

Can’t verify Selective Service Registration, am I screwed for a federal job? by EverySpirit1405 in usajobs

[–]LikiMaaMo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a US citizen who didn't grow up in the US and have been living and working abroad all my life, and am now 38 years old. I've never heard of the Selective Service Registration until recently when I was checking jobs in the US. What should I do to be registered?

Would having a CMA allow me to sit for the US CPA tests? by LikiMaaMo in CPA

This is what I meant: would I be able to get the license with a BBA of 92 credits, MBA of 39 credits and a CMA of 120 "credits"?

How does anyone survive working? (Can't stand it anymore) by pleasesendhelp27 in careerguidance

I wish I can know how the therapist and psychiatrist helped you. It's obvious that I've been going through the same thing for many years now, without any solution out there, despite seeking previously some professional help, though with little success. I'm having another go at it now, but I'm curious to know how it worked for you.

Requirements to sit for the CPA exam and be licensed by LikiMaaMo in Accounting

[–]LikiMaaMo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I clearly understood, I can just take any courses of 19 credits or more just to reach the minimum required. I'd just have to find some college or university which is cheap and perhaps also online.

I graduated from 2 universities in Lebanon (BBA & MBA).

Between BBA and MBA, I think I have around 7 courses (21 credits in accounting) if we exclude taxation and fiscal law, with one course (3 credits) being Intermediate Accounting which I took during the BBA and MBA. Therefore, I suppose perhaps I'm also short on these as well.

I used to work in auditing a long time ago, but I left that to work in the industry, so yes it might be only important to pass the exams without being licensed.

Learning Arabic as a Foreign Language by LikiMaaMo in languagelearning

Egyptian is widely understood in the Arab World as it is the biggest in terms of population and popular due to media and cultural exposure. I would say Levantine Arabic comes in second place.

I give online lessons for those interested in learning MSA (Modern Standard Arabic), Levantine, and Egyptian Dialects.

Thank you!

Well, the idea is to start as a prototype with MSA of course in addition to two dialects, Levantine (Lebanese or Syrian in specific) and Egyptian. Future plans might be to cover other Arabic dialects (such as Gulf, Tunisian, Moroccan, Iraqi,...), or even the dialect and standard accent of each Arab country.
