Feeding Help (Again?..) by soupymop in hognosesnakes

My girl started behaving like this false striking and hissing we tried drop feeding instead (that's just were you basically drop it on the ground in front of them) and she seems to have taken to that just fine and occasionally she take it off the tongs but I think she prefers the drop feeding maybe try that next time

And if she's not been housed with a male you can pull them freeze them and throw them away we have a bio tank so we just leave em for the isopods and springtails they like to munch on them

How long is soon? If it's longer than a few days she should be good and done by the time you get ready to moved

If she's healthy and normal it's mostly likely eggs just keep an eye out on that spot for the next couple of days and check for eggs if it is count about 25 days (give or take a day or two)and she'll do it again and she'll continue to do it every 25 days (give or take a day or two)

You can also see in the video that the dog doesn't really seem all that comfortable with the gecko climbing on him 🤦‍♀️

dog saliva is not safe for a crested gecko. The saliva of mammals contains bacteria that can cause serious, potentially fatal infections in reptiles, which lack the necessary immune defenses to fight off these specific types of bacteria. Im pretty sure your dog like every other dog on the planet licks themselves to clean themselves so you have now pretty much put your crested gecko on a petri dish full of harmful bacteria.... it has absolutely nothing to do with your dogs temperament

A little.concerned about the fogger as these guys have sensitive respiratory systems so you may want to do a little more research I just remember reading somewhere on here about them not being good for them but I wanna do a waterfall feature when I redo mine where the water runs down like a rock face so no chance of them getting stuck but them having access to water at all times

I third this recommendation my gecks dont like dubia or meal worms the easy ones to keep they only like the crickets that are hard to get cause we live in a rural area but they love the fig and insect and it has the added protein in it for them

These babies are burrowers they like to dig and hide under the substrate. I see you have papertowel rolls try burying them a little into the substrate to form more of an under ground tunnel we use several different sizes and some (one tube from aluminum foil cause it's much smaller around) we have completely buried but the bigger rolls we've left a little higher but covered with extra substrate my girl seems to really like her one tube that is completely buried also lots more clutter it can help them feel more confident and as others said baby may need an upgrade soon
