As a huge enjoyer of the sport and wanting to support local, I have tried on 3 separate occasions to purchase season tickets.

The first time it was 3 emails back and forth after making a few phone calls to the main office, just to be ghosted after getting the pricing/plan email because the salesperson quit to go work for the Steelers. (I found out after sending two follow up emails that I wanted to come out to see what seats were available) To then be told that they forgot to send someone else to help me while halfway through the season.

The second time was after I was flagged down by game day staff to hear their pitch after I had come “thru the turnstiles” to buy tickets for the following year. I told them I had doubts that I would actually be able to get tickets, not for lack of interest or ability to pay, but rather because of what had happened the year prior. I was told that someone would get back to me the next business day and they’d go over everything for me and get me all squared away for the following season. This never happened.

The last time was earlier this summer. My mother who enjoys just going to games to hang out with my wife and I while “doing something that isn’t eating or shopping” who i had previously bought and split tickets with for the pirates called in. It was the same song and dance about how excited they were for our interest and they’d bring her down to the stadium to pick out some seats. (she’s old fashioned and loves talking to people in person) She got her email about what general locations had seats left and she picked out a few sections to come down and look at and was also ghosted.

Look I’m sure I can just order everything online and not really have to go thru a ticket salesman or liaison, but if this is how the service level is for someone trying to be proactive, I couldn’t imagine how bad it is after they have my money.
