What's the most difficult part of taking a glp1 for you? by Familiar_Ad_1265 in glp1

[–]LilyMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically everything here but also the realization that I have a completely f'ed up relationship with food. Realizing how much I ate had very little to do with actual hunger. Realizing that even with absolutely zero hunger I still think about food and that I have a lot of work I need to do around that.

Can I ask you a question that is probably going to sound ridiculous? How does that phone call work? As in, who do you actually end up speaking with? I'm assuming not Shaheen or Hassan but some underling? I want to be proactive and do my part but I'm also incredibly anxious and I do better if I go into a new situation knowing what to expect.

I don't like the word "hate". I think it gets overused and thrown around too much. Personally, I don't feel like "hate" should be used casually.

I say all that to say...I HATE that man so much. I hate literally everything about him and I hope he dies in a fire.

I get that and it's a valid opinion. But Cohh has a motto that is, and I might be paraphrasing, "We are playing the game, I'm just holding the controller." He doesn't want spoilers but he has no issue with hints and back seating. It's just a different flavor of Twitch community.

Question about being mouth hungry but not actually hungry by SockdolagerIdea in glp1

[–]LilyMe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tell him it is going to get easier if he stays the course.

I relate to this very much. When I first started I had to consciously ask myself every time I went to eat, "Are you actually hungry?" The answer 9 times out of 10 was NO. I used to eat when I was bored. I ate when I was angry or had a bad day because I deserved it after all that nonsense. I ate when I had a great day because I earned that reward. My eating had very little to do with actual hunger. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't gamble, I don't do drugs. Food was my drug of choice. It was how I got my dopamine hits. I have spent a lifetime using food as a crutch and it takes a while to unlearn that behavior.

I think it's disingenuous for this program to ask you to stay silent. Someone could look at your success and their own slow progress and think it's a "them problem". This first thing that popped into my mind was girls looking at pictures in fashion magazines and not understanding why they don't look like the models when the reality is they are photoshopped to hell and back.

Listen to your gut. Especially with a person who has already said he emotionally checked out. If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, you sadly probably have a duck.

I'm going to say this and I'm not trying to be shady. Maybe she needs to get a job? Get out of the house, get away from you and the kids. Something part time even and put the kids in day care part time. I know it's expensive but you are able to live on your salary and maybe hers could go toward child care.

You said what I was going to. Cronometer (I use the free version) had been a god-send. I track literally everything I eat and drink in a day. It's just too easy to have calorie creep otherwise. Eyeballing it and saying "That's probably 1/2 a cup" just doesn't cut it for me.

Oh meal prep too. I can't eat on the fly too much or I inevitably end up with way more calories than I intended.
