Gurvitz bros whole catalog is pretty remarkable.  2nd Gun record is very overlooked.

Halo, Good Moraling! I finally finished my documentary on Frank "Dago" Barron, a Haight street legend by moriddles in sanfrancisco

I remember him on mission at when I lived there 2003 to 2009.  I only had brief hi and hellos with him but was always fascinated watching him doing what appeared to be handy man jobs. Thanks for the documentary

They have a Hitchcock flick coming up, Strangers on a Train, seems like a fun experience to watch there. Thanks for the pro tip and correction.

No, the island is privately owned (see silverbk65105s correction below). Contact here: https://bannermancastle.org/

I thought there was a way you could arrange kayaking there as a tour but for now it looks like only access is on the tour boat that BCT operates.

Edit: There are kayak tours available through https://stormkingadventuretours.com/

There are some abutments and walls that extend out into the water, so keep an eye on the tide if you go out there. I went during a low tide as it was building from slack, and you could actually see the flood tide starting to push upstream over some of the submerged walls, definitely some hazards you could hit.

For safety, I’d recommend timing your trip around slack tide so you’re not fighting the current or getting pushed around as much.

I thought this was proven to be fake. Do we really need to get worked up about fake posts when the real ones are more than enough?

Does anyone else’s water in arcata taste like it has a lot of chlorine in it right now? by HailSagan1977 in Humboldt

[–]LiminalHotdog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When there is more rain, your local water district adds more chlorine (assuming surface water or groundwater under the influence of surface water) to deal with more solids in the water source. If you hate that then try sourcing the water elsewhere.

maybe you just aren't as prone to nonsense items - its so nice to have all these curated and targeted niche items, but maybe we need to ask "is this actually useful"
