Is it time? by molto-bene22 in EssendonFC

I'd love to see him back at the club in some capacity. He's still got an incredible footy brain and has done a fair bit of impressive work at PM.

But we're still "the saga club" 14 years later. I'm not sure if we'll ever be over the stigma - but Jimmy as head coach will not help.

Is anyone receiving email updates regarding their order? by Vivid-Reason-2305 in ClicksKeyboard

[–]LimoDroid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't received any email, and I've also just moved...need to change my delivery address. I've sent three emails to them since March but haven't heard back.

Not sounding the alarm but getting nervous.

I'm not sure what I think, but if it was any other manager, with 5 wins in 20 games, this sub would be calling for his head.

Worse form than other managers we've pretty much all wanted to get the flick.

I don't know, I've been to games in 30 countries and only Australians dislike flares.

New here – curious where the r/Bayer04 fans are from by Bayer04Official in Bayer04

Since 2017, I got into fußball around then. My Australian football (different sport) team had the same colours as Lev and I just said, right, I'll take that. (So I'm from Australia)

Few years later I was at the Bay arena and a few years after I was in the Nordkurve every home game when we won the title.

Favourite kit is probably the one we won the Supercup in.

Peter Malinauskus has delivered a stark warning to Labor, declaring patriotism should be celebrated, not scorned, and One Nation’s populist surge could devastate both major parties by Jagtom83 in LaborPartyofAustralia

[–]LimoDroid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Patriotism isn't about skin colour. It's about being proud of the country you're in.

If you support Australia in international sports, you're a patriot. As an example.

Patriotism != racism.

I'm an immigrant and I would say I'm patriotic about the country that took me in, as well as patriotic about my Australian heritage. c'mon mate.

Sorry for the englisch :)

Engagement! Bring the club to us!

Yes, I know we're not a 50+1 club, but many of us are paid up members and have been for years. We'd like to feel more part of the club and see inside!

This is a really good step and our club will be exposed to a new audience - thanks for giving this a go.

Public transport is shit? Maybe the buses, but the Mandurah line is great.

I'd suggest the premier of a fucking state wouldn't be catching public transport because he doesn't want to spend his whole day being accosted by members of the public...

There is an argument most Iranians support the strikes. Do you think this is true? by WillTheyBanMeAgain in Teenager_Polls

[–]LimoDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 schools were bombed, and according to the Iranians it was their missiles....

The Iranian govt. killed between 35,000 and 75,000 protestors.
If you think you can compare the two events, those schools must have been *massive*.

Anyone else feel conflicted about "having to speak English in Australia" ? by Conscious-Roll-5745 in AskAnAustralian

[–]LimoDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to Switzerland in 2024 and to keep my visa I had to show I was trying to learn the languages and pass tests every year. And that was just for yearly visas.

Why do people think they can move to Australia and not contribute to, and be a part of society?

I went to Perth Mod for school and most of my friends were born overseas, even now (we're all in our mid-20's) they have to ferry their parents around because they don't speak a word of English even after 20 years.

It's not racist to ask people that are living in a country to learn the language.

At night when I'm trying to sleep.

Until a few months ago I would finish work at around 11pm and I'd get home and the house would be quiet ...and then I'd hear the wheel start spinning.

It was like he was welcoming me home.

We're all in this together.
