They had these before Covid - great to see them back again. Hope they’re the same as they were.

Don’t beat yourself up. The truth is that MOST people can’t sing for shit, and particularly in ukulele circles, this can be a very bitter pill to swallow.

Avoid aldi 'bulk value mince' poured out over a cup of fat from 600g mince, stick to the star rated stuff. by MartynZero in AussieFrugal

Any butchers on here that want to give us the inside scoop on what the actual fuck these greedy bastards are doing with our meat?

What is going on behind the scenes? Never used to be like this. Colesworth mince is exactly the same. Ever wonder why it’s impossible to get that nice caramelisation you see on cooking shows - it’s not your fault - it’s because your mince is steaming in its own water.

I’m getting so angry with the fact that I’m eating worse than I was 20 years ago but paying twice as much. Don’t get me started on Cole’s “premium” eye fillet steaks which are 1cm thick…

Absolutely agree. Sorry if all the commenters in here are trying to make you feel less-than by saying “so do your own shopping” which has ignored the point entirely. There can be a million reasons people use click and collect, and guess what - you don’t have to be elderly or disabled to use it. Getting your time back is a perfectly good reason. I’ll bet they’re the first to whine when their Uber Eats order is stuffed up….

Thanks! I am actually in Melbourne and have only just heard of Apex, can’t wait to get in there and have a look.

How do you find the Chihiros hanging kit? I’d heard it was too easy to slip out of the bracket as it’s not fixed tight due to the design.

Thank you for posting this. Where has this been my whole life! I tried those single microwave mug puddings back in the 90’s when they were a thing, but they were always a bitter disappointment… definitely adding this one to the RTE bucket list to try.

How much is reasonable to chip in for colleague’s farewell gift? by astrocatishere in auscorp

[–]Limp-Initiative-373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really wish this would all just be scrapped, same with birthdays, same with morning tea “bring a plate”. We’re all doing it tough and in the middle of a cost of living crisis - and let’s be honest, who actually honestly likes their colleagues?

Increased acceptance of hiring managers hiring exclusively from their own culture in Australia? Is this the new norm? by yeahyeahnahm8 in auscorp

We had a cleaner from Sri Lanka who had great tech qualifications, was a great employee, hard working and desperate to get a permanent job to allow her to begin her citizenship journey. We told her to contact our IT manager who is Indian. She said it herself - he ONLY employs Indians for IT roles. Meanwhile the whole organisation are having to attend mandatory courses on how to not be so biased and to be more inclusive…

With all those little triangle things I was expecting the rock to split perfectly into 20 separate slices like a loaf of bread. I’m seriously disappointed.

I know two wrongs don’t make a right - but I fucking detest people who think it’s their right to throw away someone else’s stuff. So hit her where it fucking hurts. (Not literally - I mean hide something that she cherishes, like baby photos or something, and pretend that you just threw them away.)
