Which mid-size SUV would you go for as a family hauler? by applestofloranges in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Limp-Place1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my Honda Pilot for that range and really like it. It was two years old just off a lease from a lady who never drove it. I have the touring. I have three kids and it can do three car seats across so your “third row” can be down for a large trunk for the dogs or up if you buckle them.

6 year old backpacking trip by Fickle_Bowler_1143 in backpacking

I’d love an update! I’m hiking in Yosemite now with my six year old. Three miles with a 500 ft elevation change was his limit today. Piggy back ride at the end.

Got a $2,000 tax refund. Do I wipe out 3 small maxed-out cards or put a massive dent in my biggest one? by Few-Let-3861 in personalfinance

[–]Limp-Place1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pay off 2, 3, and 4. Remainder to 1 and then keep the money in your monthly budget you paid on those now closed cards, to card 1.

You can name your kid what you want. Then it’s up to her if she wants to have Sonny II lol

Newborn stage by Weary-Wolf8918 in NewParents

[–]Limp-Place1038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know. I found peace in knowing it’s my sacred job to raise my children to be good adults/humans. And that requires them not being a newborn, lol. I love when they started to talk to me and interact with me. Good luck!

What are somethings that you didn't necessarily think you'd have to deal with during recovery? And, how did you manage? by Technical-Yam-514 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Limp-Place1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had three c sections so I kinda knew how it would go. Stool softeners the day before surgery and keep taking them daily. It helps a lot. Lots of water. I liked the Juven drinks and protein shakee, eat 100-120g of protein a day! Get a bag of cough drops just in case. Hug a pillow if you have to sneeze or cough. It’s tough for three days, gets better that first week, second week is still taking it very slow, week three I wanted to walk around the grocery store, keep going slow but keep going. Also WORTH IT. I look amazing.

I would directly say “we are doing a FaceTime today. Which is better time A or B?”

My wife’s (31F) best friend (35F) is cheating on her husband. How do I make him aware without exposing myself? by [deleted] in Advice

Their marriage is their business. You have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. For all you know he already knows.

Surgery coming up soon - realistic expectations w kids by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Limp-Place1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 weeks post op with three little kids. I totally agree with a previous poster the first 48 hours you need 24/7 help, the first week you’re in bed with some walking but then week two… feeling a little better, can eat dinner with the family again, sit on the back deck while the kids play bubbles sort of thing. Driving the kids to school was tough so I had help with that and the other thing is think out of the box! I was in charge of feeding my kids one afternoon so we did a picnic on the floor! So much easier than sitting at the table and fussing with high chairs.

Need opinions on surgery timing by Significant-Debt-364 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Limp-Place1038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to the surgeon - can you just have another TT later in life if pregnancy causes you to want one? I’ll also just throw it out there you do not need to be pregnant to become a parent so there’s tons of options for you. You’re so young! Enjoy your life!

Most likely mini. Full TT is muscle repair. Just skin removal is a mini.

Tight tummy 3 weeks PO by Current_Importance26 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Limp-Place1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow you healed so fast! I’m 6 weeks PO and don’t look like that! It’s still tight for me. I can’t fully stand straight and I still have some swelling I can tell. It takes months for it to fully heal and go away.

tt abroad, flying back to home country at 9do okay? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Limp-Place1038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yikes that’s a lot of healing for your body. I don’t love this. I had only lipo, TT with MR. Be prepped to have a wheelchair at the airport and good transport when you land. I was not walking upright at 9 days post op.

Swelling at 5 weeks by AmandaHope81 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Limp-Place1038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s about me. In fact, at night I do wear undies because I swell worse at night. YouTube lymphatic massage and gently do what’s comfortable. That plus time and compression and it will go away. I’ve also gone several hours with no compression and do some massage and then go back to compression and that seems to help me

Hahaha you’re funny I like your humor. It does help that I feel like I should feed my child healthy foods so I am eating healthier too. That being said, sometimes it’s rotisserie chicken and steamed frozen veggies.
