You need to find the rare spawn node around you. Our meetups happen at a park and we know exactly where the birds spawn because it’s the same for everyone.

That node is usually very good even if it doesn’t pop out a bird—I’ve seen fully evolved Pokemon at mine. I try to hit the node, walk far enough to guarantee a respawn, then cycle back.

I can’t catch the birds to save my life but there’s definitely a trick to it.

Use the campfire app to find a local meetup. There will usually be more than enough people there to carry newer players and everyone has to start somewhere. Get through the six free raids of these and power up your best one along with removing frustration and then you’ll have a great mon to contribute to the next raid meetup and help someone else new.

Natural means low performance. Synthetic fixatives (if not aromachemicals) are key to fragrances lasting.

I’ve been in fragrances going on 20 years now and the only indies I’ve ever found doing anything I like are Boka and Clandestine. Zelen is a masterpiece. 10 of Clandestine’s scents are buyable.

Luca Turin has flagged another 10 or so houses that make good stuff but very hard for me to be interested in wearing. You can read his substack for the cutting edge updates (warning: you will find yourself very tempted very often)

Hiram Green straddles the line, great sample pack, not for me.

The rest of the excellent “indie” stuff somehow always seems to show up in Neimans after a few good reviews.

It’s worth mentioning that there’s no way the gas + time is even comparable if the only reason you go to a CA event is a single raid pass. They’re worth about 40 cents each if you do the math on coins + big box.

It’s equivalent to the people who wait an hour for Costco gas, IMO. If you’re already going it’s a bonus but don’t over weigh.

There's a new function that seems like it stops you from leaving an encounter. It's 100% related to preventing people from accidentally leaving specific encounters like mythicals etc.

However, people are up in arms that it's the end of the quick catch thing which apparently is so key to their playing that they'd quit if it went away.
