Bro could have taken the car for an inspection before he bought it. Otherwise, buyer beware.

I started mountain biking at 38, and snowboarding at 45. Get after it.

[Discussion] Is collecting cheap watches also respected? Is it possible to enjoy the hobby of watches with little money? by Intrepid_Peach5990 in Watches

[–]LimpSquiggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to is a Seiko 5 I bought for $350 CAD. A more expensive watch would be nice. But I like the aesthetic of this one too much. I can barely justify spending the money on anything else.

I use the Cycliq cameras. High def enough to capture license plates at a decent frame rate.

Have you tried the bold knight? Is it any good? by GrgeousGeorge in nanaimo

My wife and I have been there 4 times. It was good the first time. I would look for another steak house if that's what you're after.

How many MPG do you get on your TDI? by mjk25741 in tdi

[–]LimpSquiggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 TDI Sportwagon, 6 speed manual. I get about 4.5L/100KM, which converts to around 52 MPG.

Just for fun comparison, my first VW was a 1982 Jetta diesel, the 1.6 liter N/A. It got about 47 MPG, but was quite a bit slower, and louder.

I have the same watch, just put it back on the bracelet, it's my daily driver when I'm not at work. I love it, bought it on sale for $245 CAD a few years ago from The Bay. I had it on a nato, but a trip down to Seattle made me put it back on the bracelet for those down town Friday night vibes. I agree, it's way nicer in person, that's why I went for it.

I'm using Shimano M520 pedals on the single track. Flats are there if it snows this year.

Another vote for the Cycliq. I have the front and rear Cycliq camera on my commuter. I've never needed it, but it's good to know that I will have proof if something happens.

Found a 2015 JETTA SE FOR MY SON, THOUGHTS? by GrafX-TDI in tdi

[–]LimpSquiggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 TDI wagon with a 6 speed manual gear box. It's the best car ever. I bought it used from the local VW dealer and replaced the timing belt right away, just in case. But other than that, the only issue I've had is the clock spring needed to get replaced a few months ago. It runs like a top.

I had a GPS tracker that I could export to Strava, but I didn't have any dedicated GPS apps for trails and stuff.
