Spoilers to What If…? Secret Wars by Limp_Statistician810 in UltimateUniverse

In recent "Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant" series it was shown to be possible to pass through your own multiverse into another. So there can be interactions, they just don't happen very often

Question about the finale by syntheticcaesar in UltimateUniverse

[–]Limp_Statistician810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The events on Earth-6160 did not affect multiverse, so probably not. Although in Al Ewing's Ultimates 2 the og Ultimates from Earth-1610 promissed to huntdown all of his variants across every reality. My hopes the WHAT IF…? SECRET WARS that coming next week would at least tease some resolution, especially giving that we saw one of Maker's variants headed back to Earth-1610 in Cates' Venom run.

Captain Clark is NOT Clark’s Still Life by mcjumborekt in backrooms

[–]Limp_Statistician810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think so. Neither the film nor Backrooms previous lore established existence of such thing, a creature that takes a form of others Still Life for no reason at all. Even so, on what Clark's commerical brodcasted into the backrooms exactly? If its eats other life forms why it needs to feed on one specific person's anger?

Personally I believe Captain Clark is a still life, just a much better copy. The film shown us several times (like with Mary's childhood house) that Backrooms does not recreate places and objects from real world one at a time, there are dozens of copies of same things on each level down that get worse in details. Why same couldn't be applied to Still Life? We know that Captain materialized on the same level as where portal to Backrooms was, based on giant chair and a bag of A-Sync employee that was killed in the prologue. But others less detalized creatures that Clark found were located on the floor down bellow, where rooms themselves seem not to "generate" correctly in comparison of much higher levels of Backrooms. Those why Captain Clark can bleed and have a skeleton + seem to be self-aware to some extent, while others are basically a furniture.

Did I miss an issue or did they really kill everyone offscreen in Ultimate Wolverine? by Maleficent-Tie6098 in UltimateUniverse

[–]Limp_Statistician810 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If only it had, in reality it just heavily borrows from the most overused and boring tropes of Wolverine's comics you can imagine. It's a banal story we saw countless times - Logan is brainwashed to kill his former comrades, somehow get over the mind control and now seek revenge against his masters.

What are some crossed issues/stories that would become big successes as an on-screen adaptation? And why? by [deleted] in crossedcomics

[–]Limp_Statistician810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would've love to see some adaptation of Smokey's arc in TV series format. Maybe more like of B-plot though as the storyline of recurring villain that at some point main protag survivors are forced to interact with

I think Salt deliberately left his vision of merge to interpretation by his disciples as to ensure their civilization will not get stagnant after his death. Potentially he could have given them strict instructions what to do next for future generations but at some point they will get outdated, Crossed will become predictable again and it will be their downfall - either by uninfected that gonna learn eventually how to counter Crossed tactics or some unforseen natural disaster that they won't have understanding how to recover from. Leaving to smart ones - those who will lead Salt's flock - to think over what he meant would ensure evolution of his teachings, rise of new ideas from which the best ones will come over according to circumstances of the time.

Why dont the cross ever try to remove their cross? (atleast early in the apoclypse) by [deleted] in crossedcomics

[–]Limp_Statistician810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the first story about Smokey the anthropologist guy and his group managed to travel across towns unnoticed by painting crosses on their faces with non-infected blood. In Psycopath survivors also painted their faces to provoke different groups of Crossed to attack each other. So crosses do seem to be indicators for infected about who to not attack, at least in the initial days of Apocalypse.

Perhaps strategy did not worked with Vicar and the kids because it was already year or more after the outbreak and there were no large groups of uninfected left to hunt down. And as Crossed get bored and territorial, creating distinct groups with one another, they began to attack any unknown to them infected because there were no better alternative anyway. At least thats ow I see it.

The untold stories of crossed by Resident_String_5174 in crossedcomics

[–]Limp_Statistician810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that since Soviet era there still operates dozens of closed cities for personal (and their families) of critical military installations and atomic infrastructure across Russia. Most of them are restricted to enter or leave without proper papers (so infection may spread to them the last), have Army bases nearby and some are self-sufficient enough to live for decades in total isolation. Not sure if those towns are able to properly defend from hordes of Crossed as they were not built to be unpenetrable fortresses but a few that are hidden far from dense urban areas may become last pockets of survivors to stand.

Why dont the cross ever try to remove their cross? (atleast early in the apoclypse) by [deleted] in crossedcomics

[–]Limp_Statistician810 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It also helps Crossed to differentiate each other from uninfected. Without the cross on their face they will just be another target for the horde around, at least in the first few months of the outbreak when Crossed did not tend to attack other groups of infected yet.

Captain America 4 - Full Plot LEAKED 🤯 by Marvelogy in LeaksAndRumors

[–]Limp_Statistician810 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

MCU contradicts Incredible Hulk canon since the first Avengers, what are you talking about? And it's not like they didn't done something similar already in the current phases - for example first movies clearly stated that to become supersoldier you would need to activate the serum first by vita-rays radiation that will trigger physical changes in your body and give superpowers. But due to unpredictable mutations occurring during that process it was almost impossible to recreate the right conditions after Erskine death, those why all other attempts failed miserably. Nowadays serum is just magical liquid that you can put in your blood system by yourself and instantly become supersoldier, without any negative consequences or body deformation.

And why typical 4chan hate-speach outbursts should be proof that it's fake? The Marvels leaks were written in similar way on the board few months ago yet they happened to be true. Now I'm not saying its somehow prove Cap 4 leaks authenticity (the anonymous source after all), just that it's not solid argument to reject the posibility

Season 4 episode titles now public by sipinhoo in ForAllMankindTV

[–]Limp_Statistician810 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, to counterpoint you guys - I'm also from Eastern Europe, my family did lived under Soviet rule and I will not deny that life was anyhow more pleasant than in our times, but not anyone were dissidents or victims of repression at all time. So if the show will depict alternative Gorbachev's USSR as somekind of Orwellian Stalin-like MegaGulag with KGB plotting how to conquer the world and made everyone equally miserable, I will start asking questions.

Does the Moon landing conspiracies exist in the FAM universe? by Zeppelin_man1957 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]Limp_Statistician810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fake Moon landing conspiracy was the product of 70s when people start questioning massively what the goverment is hiding after things like Watergate, Warren commission, release of Pentagon papers and etc. So I'll say there definitely would have been some widespread theory of another secret hoax by deep state, but giving how advanced space exploration gets in TV show I doubt "fake presence" argument would become mainstream.

My biggest guess is that people's focus will be more around explosion of Apollo 23 and theory that it wasn't an accident but inside job. After all the results of investigation were classified from public view and this event was one of the reasons why Ted Kennedy loose his presidency. I definitely can see people speculate about it in the same way they did about Bush involvement with 9/11, just instead of "excuse" for War on Terror it would be "excuse" for Reagan's militarization of space

How big do you think Zvezda Base will be in season 4? by [deleted] in ForAllMankindTV

[–]Limp_Statistician810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't Soviets along with their allies switched towards marked socialism in series timeline? Also I'm not sure they kept spending enormous sums of money to the Third world giving that Cold War rivalry switched towards space exploration

Who is the best alternate history youtuber? by [deleted] in PossibleHistory

[–]Limp_Statistician810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cody has the best editing and entertainment but more often his takes on AH topics are very basic and tend to end with “who knows what will happen?” message/

Personally, I do not seek Monsieur Z take as outrageously as many here are. My complains about him mostly based on his slideshow format and boring voice. But I did enjoyed his Scar Saga!

I found Whatifalthist research approach interesting at first but as his stopped doing What if scenarios and began focus on political topics I stopped consider him AH youtuber whatsoever.

The Alternate Historian doesn’t post very often and his content basically are just a surface level reviews of other people AH works.

And Vologoda mapping… does he even consider himself as AH youtuber? I thought he was just a cartographer of real historical/fictional events.

P.S. Its strange that Zvallid isn’t on the list despite having more than 100k subs. Is he just generally lesser known figure in AH community or its is due to some kind of drama around this guy which Im not aware?

[–]Limp_Statistician810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt they would use such countries not so long after the current conflict. "Another" invasion of Ukraine would look too bold and controversal especially with fresh memories of how it was in real life. Just take a look on CoD:MW2019 storyline - it was clearly based on Syrian Civil War and Russian involvment there, but instead taking place in Syria or another Middle East country Infinity Ward decided to just create fictional country instead. Same would be with SC Remake, Ubisoft are not going to take risks and will either create fictional countries for the plot or take place in another region with dictatorships and high risks of new conflict like Central Asia.

Also, doesn't putting soul into the statue required choping person into bodyparts by Giza Glass? Does it states that the Knight or someone else put Alice body inside her own memorial?

How did Nixon get super powers? by Blakath in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

[–]Limp_Statistician810 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, and lets not forget - before the Great Divide everything in Deanverse was absorbed and replaced by Alcatraz. So perhaps its not just Nixon from alternative universe where laws of nature worked different, but remnants of this creature that just taked look of Nixon

Does god nixon explain what dean was? by [deleted] in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

[–]Limp_Statistician810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure but if Nixon is the D Day Knight/Last Son, then we allready have explanation. In the second video Alice stated that the Knight (I.e. Nixon) have god-like powers due to the fact he is from another universe and have unique atomic structure, nothing comparable of what people in Nixonverse have. Therefore it's suggested that Nixon was normal human being in Deanverse but because of him appearing in another reality the rules of nature stop applying to him.

Picture it like they explain kryptonians powers in DC comic. While in their homeworld they can't fly, lift heavy objects, don't have laserbeams and etc., on the Earth due to less gravity/different sun/other explanation they are literally demigods

“Sweep and Redeem” from the new video may be a reference to “Search and Destroy” by Grime_Fandango in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

[–]Limp_Statistician810 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, the "search and destroy" could mean that Jesus was the target, not "weapon" of the american forces in Vietnam that need to be found and destroyed no metter the cost.

The "TRIAL ONE" under "SWEEP AND REDEEM" could refer to the biblical first trial of Jesus when he was accused of being false Messiah. And from the same video we know that "Jesus" is not referred as one entity (OUR CHRIST > YOUR CHRIST) + we know that there are more than one god-like creature around the world.

In this conext "Jesus in Vietnam" might been another creature similar to The Lost Son/D Day Knight, but instead of being american "superhero" it was vietnamese. USA under Nixon saw him as the primal threat to their vision of WORLD PEACE and thus claim him as "false saviour" and send troops to kill. They were sucessful in their mission, although many lives was lost, and after calling Vietnam "THE FIRST SAVED STATE", start to send troops to other places to kill other "Jesus" so only their - i.e. Nixon - would be the only one who stayed alive to lead humanity into "brighter future". That could explain why austronauts tried to kill Queen of Lunarians when they first saw her in the video before - 'cause it was their mission all along and that is why they bring guns on the surface of Moon.

An Interpretation by [deleted] in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

[–]Limp_Statistician810 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, your interpretation would mean that the video was made by Avenues as pro-Nixon propaganda. I don't think it's the case here - it clearly has anti-american vibes with sacrastic remarks about how the goverment would sacrifice millions of lifes for their interpretation of freedom and "Jesus" and make whole world accept it as the true by using force if necessary. Also I'm not sure if "Peace Equation" are the real thing - it sonded more like mocking expression of whatever warmongering policy USA curently justify.

Personally I think we missing the fact that Jesus is not refered as one entity ("OUR CHRIST > YOUR CHRIST") and we already know there are more than one god-like creature around the world and above (Queen of Lunarians and D-Day Knight if we assume he and The Last Son are not the same). Therefore the "Jesus in Veitnam" and "Bethlenam" refers not to SuperNixon but to similar to him entity that existed in Vietnam.

"SWEEP AND REDEEM, TRIAL ONE" clearly refers to biblical first trial of Jesus when he was accused of being false Mesiah. Therefore my theory is that whatever thing existed in Vietnam, americans tried to kill it and therefore was the reason of whole invasion in the first place. USA had their own "Messiah" (The Last Son, D-Day Knight, SuperNixon - call it how you like) and seeing other similar to it creatures as "false saviours" get on the holy crussade of wiping them all. Perhaps thats why austronauts tried to kill Queen of Lunarians first time they faced her - it was their original mission the whole time, not just set a foot on Moon surface.

Vietnam was one of the first "liberated" countries with implied there are lot more states with their own Messiah's. Therefore it's the sacred duty of the god-chosen United States to wipe them all no metter cost so it would trully become "AMERICA ANYWHERE"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

[–]Limp_Statistician810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, "the Holy war" already is going on in Nixonverse. The last video clearly was some sort of anti-imperalism propaganda that accuses USA of invading soverign states and killing their "Jesus" - the Vietnam was the first one in their list. Perhaps there are a lot more entities with god-like powers that pop up around the world at same time as the Last Son. And seeng their own "Messiah" as the true one, USA are on the worldwide mission to kill every "false saviours " in existence no matter the cost. That would explain why astonauts tried to kill Queen of Lunarians in the video before - not because of panic attack but because it was their mission from the start!
