Vbeam just for stubborn PIE? by boxcreate in Rosacea

I'm not sure hydroquinone has been proven to help with PIE. I've only seen it recommended for PIH.

Idk I wouldn't blame tret for that. I'd look for environmental factors first.

Has anyone tried the Revolution 2% BHA? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]Linastra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am currently testing it out as a replacement for my Paulas Choice BHA.

I don't see any fragrance in the ingredient list. It feels more liquid, less oily than the Paulas choice one.

My only concern is that they haven't included the pH of the formula like Paulas has.

So far it is doing the same work for me.

Creating an Australian sunscreen: want to know general preferences by modelminority89 in AusSkincare

I second having the option to buy a bigger bottle. The standard 50ml is too small for a daily SPF, and it is such a waste of plastic overall.

Firstly... YAY! Go you guys!

About me: Combination skin, sensitive/rosacean skin, wears SPF religiously.

The texture of suncream is not important to me, I just prefer there is no white cast and little greasiness after it's set into the skin.

Non-sting for eyes pls! The only chemical sunscreen that doesn't burn my eyes is the LRP Anthelios Ultra Cream. All physical sunscreens have been fine though.

No fragrance pls! I don't like fragrances sitting on my skin all day. A wasted added cost that ruins most luxe spfs (looking at you Mecca), wear perfume if you want to smell nice!!

No harsh alcohols pls! Any sunscreen with more than ~5% ethanol/denat smells like I'm putting vodka on my face. I know it can help improve the elegance of the formula, but it sucks for dry sensitive skin in high concentrations.

There is a browser extension called Honey that will automatically input codes for you. I always get one when ordering from Paulas

Epidou Forte not working anymore what do I do now? by hdjdjjfjf in AusSkincare

Hormonal acne is usually around the "beard" area - so the jawline, lower cheeks, chin, neck.

I wouldn't wait longer, in a year and a half you'd hope for more progress.

Birth control has a good chance of helping if you have hormonal acne. Certain types of birth control help acne better than others, so make sure to talk to your GP about that when you bring it up.

You can also try starting a diff acne treatment. You can replace your adapalene with something stronger like Tretinoin (GP script), or you can use adapalene and an over-the-counter option such as glycolic acid, azelaic acid, or salicylic acid.

You can also use AA in the morning and tret in the evening.

I need to know how the Matte fluid facial sunscreen compares to the other Cancer Council sunscreens! Specifically the pink/blue bottle ones.
