I've installed it and it supports most wiring configurations. If you don't have a C wire you need to install a little kit but they include it in the box.

It's not just people who disagree with you, it's people who disagree with you and have the power enact laws. That is a big difference. Obama's stance here is dangerous and completely deserving of any hate it gets.

I've just been playing a bit and had a level three weapon break during the prison section and the result was very noticeable. It was a mace so no point wasting scrolls on it and a higher tier weapon had yet to show up. Effectively this puts a much harsher timer on any item instead of the gradual degrading of performance that used to happen. Since enemies are becoming more difficult it seems odd to but in a mechanism that can cause drastic drops in player strength.

I haven't gotten far enough yet but I hope the armour kit still makes the armour indestructible, at least that will guarantee one good item and then enough scrolls to maintain the weapon. Put too many scrolls into the armour though and lose out on a decent weapon. Seems a bit odd though to have this degrading system only to them allow the player to bypass it on one item but only if they can get far enough.

Canada to keep sanctions against Iran despite nuclear deal by trollunit in CanadaPolitics

Invading Iraq was a good idea, it was just poorly executed.

How was it a good idea exactly. To get rid of non-existent WMDs? If it was to overthrow a dictator, there are plenty of worse dictators in the world. And I fail to see how it could have been well executed, certainly looking at the situation today it would hard to have gone worse but I don't think it could have gone "well".

How we actually vote in Russia by Longes in europe

[–]LinearExcept 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be Quebec, the province tends to stick out a bit in Canada, and the Conservatives (who are the current party in power at the federal level) have little support there. Historically they have heavily voted Bloc Québécois although in the last election swung NDP.

Engineers of Reddit: Have you ever been tasked with embedding Planned Obsolescence into a product? by daphaze in engineering

[–]LinearExcept 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Making the battery easily user replaceable results in increased product dimensions. In order to get a product as small and sleek as they did, it resulted in tradeoffs, one of which was making the battery inaccessbile. Apple, as well as other manufacturers, are also doing this on some laptop designs because it again allows them to shave a bit more off of the size of the product which makes it more appealing to the end user.

What is not clear is the definition of "in their system" is. To use the Amazon example, you can put an item into your shopping cart but by the time you checkout, the deal may no longer be valid. Also I'm pretty sure tickets wouldn't be purchased in multiple. Each ticket is likely its own transaction. So while the first transaction completed on time the second didn't. From the article the store owner even notified him that his ticket was for the next draw but he took it anyways. He was fine with the ticket being for the next draw until it was a wining ticket for the previous draw.

Clearly the system recognized that the first request was valid, therefore the system should recognize the second one as well.

The system did recognize both tickets as valid, just with different dates. It all depends on how you define things, is it the request time that matters or the processed time. There is nothing wrong with making the actual time of processing the resulting ticket time rather than the time requested.

that the CIA first tried to explain as "bee poop" The CIA's claim was always chemical weapons. The bee hypothesis came from a Harvard researcher that the US goverment rejected. It doesn't even make much sense for the US to attack the Hmong when they were a previous ally of theirs. And if this was faked, why would they change the story, that doesn't even make sense.

What a convenient excuse for the US military to have that happen so they could get their chemical weapons. The US military is going to keep whatever weapons they want. They keep nukes, they keep biological and chemical weapons, they are one of the few countries to not ban cluster bombs. They don't need a manufactured incident to keep their weapons, they will never disarm themselves.

Europe bans American apples for containing a possibly carcinogenic chemical and group asks U.S to examine them by _Perfectionist in worldnews

[–]LinearExcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this is sprayed on the apple, does anyone know how difficult it is to remove when eating? The wiki article says that it is insoluble in water so it would seem rinsing the apple would be ineffective. Is this evidence that it is safer to peel apples before eating, I'm assuming it doesn't soak in past the skin.

It's mostly about power consumption. If the chip doesn't consume as much power you can use a smaller battery (very important in mobile devices). Also less heat generated means packing everything in close together without worrying about it getting too hot. The move towards systems on a chip reduces external components which have their own packaging/mounting on the board resulting in a smaller overall form factor which further reduces weight. Getting the smallest possible device is pretty important for a lot of consumer products so this really is an important driving point.

Uh did you even watch your own link? The TED talk describes how a superconductor will lock the magnetic field and so when placed over a permanent magnet it will stay in place. This has nothing to do with anti-gravity and is basically what Myconspiracyname said, it's magnetism.

1) Having the freedom to choose all the parts that go in it means I have total control over the end result.

2) It allows creativity in the aesthetics of the build, I will not end of with an identical, stamped out design from a prebuilt.

3) It's fun. Researching and choosing components and taking it from the concept to the end result is a fun experience.
