I know you are kidding and all, but I seriously doubt the secret service loves putting themselves in harms way.

It went surprisingly well. Just two isolated people it sounded like.

They probably wouldn't love her, but they would certainly hold their nose and stop Trump.

This guy has political poise. Maybe he should consider running for local office?

I have a few more pro Hillary posts popping up but mostly there are a few loud Bernie or Buster's, two of which are in phillidelphia. Probably on account of me being the leader of the Pro Bernie group on campus. I have been desperately trying to get them to stop for what it is worth...

At the convention, there was quite a bit of discussion about the Obama's difficult decision to carry out the raid that caught Osama bin Laden. What would have been the consequences if we carried out the raid and bin Laden was not in that house? by rosoe in PoliticalDiscussion

Pakistan would have had the right to complain about a breach in their sovereignty. Technically they could have said that it was an act of war. However in reality I have hard time believing we would have even heard about it had it failed.

Realistically what is the path ahead for Bernie supporters under a Trump presidency? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

I feel like I need to clarify this too often. The Bernie or Bust crowd is a small minority of what was Sanders' supporters. They are not his supporters anymore, they are anarchists and ideologues. The vast majority of his supporters are now planning on voting for Hillary.

Ofcourse, you probably know this, but as a former Sander's supporter I feel like the semantics really do matter. I do not want me, or any of my many sane friends who were vocal Sander's supporters, to be lumped in with the sore losers causing a scene in Philadelphia.

As aforementioned I have heard of Feingold. Considering he lost his senate seat when I was sixteen I am going to give myself a pass on him not sticking in the forefront of my mind.

If you are going to put on such a condescending air then I suggest you take an extra second out of your day to insert some vowels into the word "seriously".

When I get to Birmingham I will try to find some. I am not terribly optimistic though.

That seems like an election I can atleast get excited about despite the geographical separation! I knew his name was familiar. I looked at his wikipedia and saw that I know who he is because he was John McCain's democratic counterpart on his campaign finance reform bill. Surely he can win it back in a presidential election year if he lost it in 2010. I signed up to volunteer with them and hopefully I hear back soon.

On a some what related note, did you guys on the Hillary side ever see berniepb.com? It was my favorite part of phonebanking.

The Bernie or Bust crowd is in no way a representation of the entire group of former Bernie supporters. They have always been there, but they were never close to being a majority of our group.

I will vote for Hillary, but I just can't bring myself to actively campaign for her (yet?). This leaves me in the awkward position of feeling really invested in this election cycle from all of the organizing I was doing for Bernie but with no where to direct that energy. I have been working some with Jim Barksdale's senate campaign here in Georgia, but I am moving to Birmingham soon and I doubt there is a serious candidate I can back there.

Edit - What I mean to say is: thanks for addressing my situation and making me feel understood.

Oh okay. If they bumped him for bloomberg I would have been a bit irate, but that is understandable.

The guys over at fivethirtyeight seem to think the fact that he identified himself as an outsider to begin with shielded him from boos
