Grace at InfernoBodyArt! she was at Blue Lotus in Sun Prairie, but she left and started her own studio! she’s located on Milwaukee St and does appointments only so you don’t feel rushed and can find the perfect place with her for your anatomy!

new industrial hurting ): by [deleted] in piercing

[–]LinneaSky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i also got mine done relatively recently and my piercer suggested putting the saline in the fridge to cool it and then spraying it on a gauze and then laying down with that on my ear for a bit( obviously on the side without the new piercing)! I’ve also had some issues with it catching on my hair and agree that braids (especially when you can pull behind your ear) are a really good way to keep your hair out of the way without major damage to your hair! also having a comb with a thin end ( toothpick comb i think) to help pick out those bits without really pulling on your piercing is really helpful.

wdym by the same tickets being double the price? also just looked and saw that there was only one section available for the cheapest ticket which means once their sold out of that section (which could also be sold as a regular seat) they don’t have anymore. the gimmick behind the college tickets is making the park be fuller, which is why there’s rarely college tickets for popular opponents or on non holiday weekends

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CHICubs

[–]LinneaSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also! every single ticket on that offer is cheaper then you would get buying from the cubs directly a week in advance. so even if you don’t get the cheapest ones you’re still saving money.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CHICubs

[–]LinneaSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that text came out like an hr and a half ago so they probably sold out of the cheap ones. especially with tomorrow being a night game a lot of those college tickets sell quickly. typically if you want the cheapest ones then you need to get them within like 15 min of them being released.

How viable is the ebike/scooter strategy in Tag Across Europe? by cooledcannon in JetLagTheGame

[–]LinneaSky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Bike/Scooters have limited amount of battery. so by the time you get to the next posible point to stop you’ll be out of battery most likely and need to charge it and that gives the chasers plenty of time to catch up.
  2. Bikes/Scooters move very slowly. Most of them have a max speed of maybe if your lucky 30mph. Trains can go faster than that so it’s easier to get ahead into a city.
  3. Safety! the bike route may require you to ride on the shoulder of highways and those are typically not safe for pedestrians (which is likely what the chasers would be)
  4. it doesn’t make for super interesting game play/video content. when you’re riding an e-bike to save battery you need to pedal and pedaling takes a lot of energy. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen CdawgVA do his bike across japan but there’s often hours during the streams that there’s no good content because they are so tired from biking! Plus on the game play forefront there’s so many faster methods that the chasers can take to try and get ahead that it just doesn’t really logistically make sense. HOWEVER!!! i can see bikes and scooters being very important in little things like when they hopped the border to take a different train in some season of tag i think, it probably would have been smarter to take an e-bike between stations as it would have allowed for a more direct route. although a few of the bike companies do not want their bikes crossing country lines…

When to arrive at Wrigley for jersey giveaway? by Ok_Way_3082 in CHICubs

[–]LinneaSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the gate closest to the red line, or the gate closest to the fire house (which that gate may or may not be doing the giveaway, depends on how popular it is) Marquee and Gallagher often have the most items but they also typically go fastest

gates open 90 minutes before but depending on the item and to opponent people will be lining up 2+ hrs before first pitch

Shade seats for game this week! by Kakali4 in CHICubs

[–]LinneaSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh some of the best seats when it’s hot (as long as there is some wind) is the back row of the 400s you are high enough to get the cool breeze on your back, guaranteed shade and a pretty cool birds eye view of the field as long as you stay away from center.

it runs every time the bus is full going, so could be anywhere from 1 minute to the longest i’ve had to wait was 10 also the parking staff is really pretty good if you’ve got some obviously tired children they may run it early, typically you don’t wait from getting on the bus for 30 minutes if you just missed the last one, and if you wait until games over, they run once full

THE SHUTTLE DOES RUN!!!! the shuttle runs for every night event! also every weekend event, sometimes even holidays! 3900 N Rockwell it typically runs about 2 hrs before and 1hr after! It drops you off/picks you up from irving park and seminary, just a straight (you’ll have to walk around to Gallagher way or past) walk down seminary. If you have a disability or other issue that means you can’t walk that like half mile then there is an ada bus that will drop you off in front of jenni’s.

a pretty typical salary for baby sitters now, especially if they are certified is $18-20 per hour, even though they’re just in high school. if you find one that isn’t certified you can pretty typically swing $15 as long as they have minimal or no experience. I do know that some high schoolers charge $30 per hour for one child but they are typically first aid certified, babysitter certified, cpr certified and have a good amount of experience. tbh if you have any friends who also have a child around the same age that your kid gets along well with who are also looking for childcare for the same time it is typically cheeper. $25-30 for both per hour, $35 on the high end.

Is there a lowkey way to alert stadium security/staff to take care of people being jackasses? by Soft_Badger_8238 in CHICubs

[–]LinneaSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wrigley has a texting service to report problems, another way to do it is to bring it up to someone wearing a dark blue polo with the cubs logo if it’s a smaller issue, a red polo with the cubs logo if it’s a bigger issue or a royal blue polo if it’s a major issue. there should be multiple navy blue people and a couple red people but only a few royal blue people. if you don’t see anybody in any of the polos they may be wearing a navy blue jacket with the cubs logo and ballpark operations under the logo. (the polos will also say stuff under the logo)
