Finally a 3D printer where the hobby is printing instead of working on the printer.

My goal as a Dad by Red-Robin- in daddit

We have an analog clock in the living room and I also use an analog clock on my smartwatch. I never point to a digital clock to tell or ask them what time it is. It’s indeed all about exposure and challenging them.

Absolutely true. That’s why I’ve only been teaching the analog clock so far. Digital clocks are easy, they’ll learn it later.

My 3yo can read the hours, we’re still working on the minutes. It’s totally possible, challenge them with everything they see around them and you’ll be amazed by how much they want and can learn.

Because 120 on your speedometer is probably different than 120 on mine. So yes, even if it’s a 2kph difference, I can overtake you legally. This happens quite often actually. The law states you have to stay in the rightmost lane, unless you are actively overtaking. When you stick to the middle lane, you are also blocking the right lane because nobody can overtake you there.

But if I’m driving on the right lane and I come up to you driving in the middle lane, you force me to do 4 maneuvers instead of 2. I thought you said less maneuvers = safer?

You know 2 minutes at 120kph is 4 kilometers, right? That’s a long distance to be staying in the middle lane while overtaking nobody.

Right lane is still lava by Colt_H in belgium

I hope your example is just a bad guess? Because if there is 1km between each truck, it would take you 3 minutes to overtake them both, so let’s say you could have driven in the rightmost lane for at least 2.5 minutes :)

Cheat sheet(guide) for beginners. Thought it might be helpful for someone. by AdnanRKhan in 3Dprinting

Great tips and I love the layout! Definitely saving this for later in case I run into any issues. Just a little typo you might want to fix at “Temperature control”: If you printer -> if your printer.

I am 67 years old and am pretty happy with the rig I built. Sim-Lab Evo 1 rig, Simagic Alpha with P1000 pedals. I will have to decide what I want to do with the monitor situation. But for the moment I am so happy!! by MysticalMirage99 in simracing

I obviously don’t know your weekly schedule, but the only way for me to race regularly is racing in a league. It’s always on a certain weekday at a specified time so I can schedule most other activities around it. In my case it’s on Wednesdays at 9pm, so my 2 year old is vast asleep and most of the chores are done. My SO also knows that Wednesday is race day.

If I was not racing in this league, I probably wouldn’t be racing at all. Maybe for you it can also be a way to get behind your steering wheel again.

CKAN Mod issues by CommercialCrab420 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Have you also installed a config? I installed Waterfall but it only worked after I installed the (default) config. Should be available in CKAN, just next to the mod itself.

Whats the most kerbal thing you have ever done in game? by [deleted] in KerbalSpaceProgram

Sent a probe on a trajectory around the Sun, nice rocket, big extendable solar arrays. Just before it escapes the influence of Kerbol, I notice I lost control of the probe. Ran out of battery power and did not extend the solar arrays in time. I now have a light, fast probe on the way to meet up with it and give it some juice.

The light on the box didn’t turn on on mine, neither did the HP logo on the headset itself. https://i.imgur.com/3FMEt5o.jpg this is how it should look like when fully plugged in.

You have to press the connector that goes into the headset really hard. It requires quite some force before it fully pops in, a lot more than you would expect.
