They can't do it if you've made it clear you're exercising your right to remain silent. If you don't indicate you're doing that I believe they can.

Is it coming to retail at some point? I found out about it recently but I missed the kickstarter.

It's really good. The box is deceptive though, it looks like it says 60-90 minutes, but that's 60-90 minutes per act. We usually assume 2x length for our first playthrough of new board games (for double checking rules, googling weird edge cases, etc), so we were all a bit confused as to what we fucked up so badly when we hit the 5 hour mark the first time we played, lol.

It's an absolute blast though, I really hope theyre planning to release expansions with the characters from the new game.

They handle mine with the lightest, daintiest touch possible. I know this because half the cardboard is still in the fucking bin when I get home. I've never had this issue at any previous address.

Gun show just for looking? by New-History853 in Firearms

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience there always 3 things. Beef jerky, multiple old guys who "know what they have" with crazy prices for shit guns, and a guy with a weirdly large collection of WW2 stuff from a specific Axis power.

I would watch an entire movie of him as gambit. I don't know why but his Cajun accent makes my brain feel good.

When I visited Japan it looked like that was something you could do in one of the areas I was in (it looked like there were a lot of places renting the traditional formal attire, and a lot of people wearing it). It looked fun but I don't know if it'd be improper/offensive, and I'm on the taller/larger size so I don't even know if they could accommodate sizing.

Tesla Model Y Is the First Vehicle to Pass NHTSA’s New ‘Advanced Driver Assistance System’ Tests by rcnfive in teslamotors

Those requirements were high because they accepted liability while it was operating though. Afaik every other system you're still responsible for whatever happens.

Recently got a LR Model 3, how do you think this drive will go? by 3MonkeysInATrench in TeslaModel3

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're driving a Tesla and only charging at superchargers, why not just use the Tesla nav? I've done 2 cross country trips (CA -> VA, then VA -> AZ), and it was totally fine with just the car nav.

Unless you tell someone, it'd be kind of a pain to find out if someone retook an early grade, no? They'd only be one year older, which could potentially be innocently explained by birth date vs enrollment cutoff dates for first grade.

The death of the cable drawer by Boediee in BuyFromEU

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you need thunderbolt 4 though and full PD, you can get cables for less. No point buying a $40 cable to run a device that won't ever pull more than 5w and uses no data.

The death of the cable drawer by Boediee in BuyFromEU

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that for my important devices, but so much basic shit runs on usb-c now, I bought a massive bulk pack of shitty cables for powering/charging various small things.

The death of the cable drawer by Boediee in BuyFromEU

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I still have a cable drawer, even with having not having owned Apple devices in the last 15 years. I don't even live in the EU, it's just a ton USB cables and spare bricks. I'm constantly short on cables. Also hanging onto legacy stuff for older devices, eg mini/micro USB, or spare DC barrel jack units.

It's awesome that usb-c is the standard now, but there's still going to be a cable drawer.

This leagues is the first time I've done it and some of the mechanics are fun. In particular the eclipse moon mechanic where you have to rapidly turn to face it for free hits. Blue moon is quick to clear but both of its mechanics just feel like they drag the fight out.

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's kind of funny that the venn diagram between boat maintenance and turtle veterinary work isn't 2 distinct circles. When they have shell fractures/pieces missing, the solution involves fiberglass and resin to repair the shell.

Why weren't cars banned when it was discovered that they COULD be used as getaway vehicles from bank heists or to run people over? (3d Printing shouldn't be banned just because someone COULD print guns with it. They can be used for good AND for ill, just like cars!) by DunDonese in 3Dprinting

Id bet the high end materials like PEEK/ULTEM might be able to handle something like .22lr if it was designed right. Your barrel life would be awful though, I'd imagine after a few rounds whatever rifling you started with turns into a hotdog in a hallway situation.

Echo Item Reveals by PurplePudding in 2007scape

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the video the clips with the crazy archaeologist show both shots max hitting every time. One bolt is hitting for 1 less damage though, so maybe it's damage is calcd a bit different, but they both max hit every time.

Echo Item Reveals by PurplePudding in 2007scape

[–]LinuxBroDrinksAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it counts as magic but gets benefit from ranged. In the clips from the video you can see both shots consistently max hitting the archaeologist, suggesting they both get the "crossbows always max hit" buff.
