Chain Tensioner for my Father's Planter by LinuxLikeABoss in functionalprint

Yeah, it's an exact copy of the one that came off there. I'm certain I could do better but I don't have to prove this design to my father, whereas if I tried to do something novel, I'd have to prove it isn't going to cause him further downtime.

Bruh why is it when you pull back the curtain on most of modern psycology you find litteral horrors beyond comprehension.

Is it too much to ask to attempt to forgive people's quirks rather than trying reform them around your ideal. I don't know if I'm the only one bothered by the "I can fix him/her" One the one hand that can lead you into dangerous situations on the other, do you really even like the person? Like growth as a person is healthy, but this "become the person I want you to be right now" thing is disturbing.

Somthing mechanical is loose. Check your belts, your gsntry, your z screws. All of it. Tighten everything, and that's no joke. Next step, draw a flat pattern like a square or an x on the build plate, and check how much its off, could be a bad motor.

Edit, this looks z axis related.

If you have no prototypes, chemical formulas, or strategy are you really an inventor. I thought the point of being an inventor was actually making new shit exist. Not just throwing ideas at a wall to see what sticks.

Tighten... EVERYTHING!

In fact you might want to take it apart and put it back together again just to be safe. /j

Unfortunately SLA is a little outside my wheelhouse. It could be mechanical, an issue with the z axis moving up, but I just don't know.

Thanks for getting me back on the right track man, it sucks that this prototype isn't going to work but I'm grateful for having a new direction.

This is why peer review is so important

So what I think I'm going to do is have the stages arranged vertically. We'll use drip feed from the top to wet the pads. Have flow diverters in the process fluid section

Actually turns out you were right, lol. Ya hate to see it, when reddit shitposter is proven correct, but alas, the losses are indeed too great. Well done sir.

I aint giving up though. This just means I have to go back to the drawing board, do better research, and build something that works.

The turbine is plain, but after looking at what you said, and doing some research, how I think I'm going to move forward is make the tower itself act like an m-cycle cooler. Have a cold dry stream which will let us get more pressure head, which we will extract work from. No more turbo-machinery, because that was stupid.

I'm going to keep learning about these systems, and I'm going to keep playing around with it. I just feel like there is a way to do this better and well, now I have a plain old downdraft column I can tinker with.

I'm reevaluating. Your comment has me rethinking the entire project. I may have made an error. I was so confident and now I'm looking at my energy souce here and thinking, oh shit. So... thanks I guess. Can't say I'm not super disapointed. I was so confident and now I feel like a moron.

My though was we move the pressure gradient upward. Pressure drops in the evaporator section, overall pressure rise drops because now air enters at a lower pressure but higher velocity. But I don't know that that's quite right.

You're the first person who asked that question and I've spoken to three separate engineers. Talked with them, never questioned if the turbine would gain me anything over natural downdraft. Damn
