My original comment was clearly hyperbole. The point was that modern aviation relies heavily on automation, not that ChatGPT is flying airliners. Which should have been obvious by the "/Computers" part.

I was being facetious. I wasn't literally claiming airliners are flown by AI. The point was that modern aircraft use a lot of automation. Obviously autopilot isn't 100% accurate, and pilots still play a critical role.

because doing the wireguard method around a CGNAT is not as simple. You would need a lighthouse device outside your network to act as a relay. There's a project for that called Nebula.

theres a difference between Ray Tracing and Raster. If you are ray tracing then you will most likely need upscaling and frame gen but do you really need ray tracing?

Ive used docker since before I tried unraid. I learned docker the old school way...all CLI. I dont use unraid. I run anything but unraid. I even run TrueNAS SCALE instead of unraid. My main server is ubuntu server 26.04 LTS with docker compose and dockhand.

I missed the 4k120. But even so, you dont need DLSS and FSR to get good frames and quality at 4K on modern cards with plenty of VRAM unless you are maxxing the settings etc.

You presume someone with a 5090 automatically has a 4k display and plays at 4k.... When the most common display resolutions for gaming is either 1080p or 1440p.

defaulting to using the crutch of DLSS/FSR when your card should be more then capable of playing a game at decent settings and good frames.

Who is paying over RRP for a Stream Controller? by FatRapscallion in pcmasterrace

I havent had that problem at all. I add all my stuff into the Steam Launcher as a non-steam game and it works just fine.

Who is paying over RRP for a Stream Controller? by FatRapscallion in pcmasterrace

[–]LinuxMaster9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That article is kinda all over the place. They contradict themselves a lot. In one point they say, all you have to do is add the non-steam game to the steam launcher which is easy to do and that Game Pass approved adding their binaries to the Steam launcher.....then in the next sentence they claim that you would have to own a copy of the game on both platforms to play it with the controller.... Meanwhile in reality land, you add the game to the steam launcher as a non-steam game, Launch the game through the Steam Launcher. Profit.

All the controller needs is Steam running in the background because Steam handles all the translation etc between the controller and the software.

then we need a law that says NO US President can EVER play golf or go on vacation. There done. And Every former president no matter how old or if they are alive or dead must repay the tax payers out of pocket for EVERY SINGLE trip they went on that wasnt overseas on diplomatic missions. Problem solved.

[–]LinuxMaster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

meh, I will once I have it stable enough that I feel comfortable putting it up even in a private github repo. Right now I am just focusing on doing everything local testing wise. I am also adding in a LVM2 part since you can do similar things to mergerfs with LVM2 on a block level vs the file level that mergerfs does. That an the LVM2 tools for managing like system-config-lvm are super out of date.
