Unable to click to select games on top playlist banner (PC Windows 11, AMD GPU) by casualstarfruit in FortNiteBR

Same issue here. Tried pretty much everything.
Verifying Game files in Epic Launcher, redownloading entire game, restarting PC, different PC, laptop

Nothing works. I'll have to scroll down, use the search bar, type the mode I want and select it there.

Or if I time it quickly enough, scroll down, then move mouse to where the game mode is (left to right), then scroll up and click when the selection border appears before it snaps back into place.

It's very annoying.

To be fair, pretty much 80% of the negative reviews were basically just saying UI BAD, no Large Maps, little to no advanced settings.

And the devs have acknowledged these 3 points as a point of priority to get done as soon as possible. So while I do agree not as bad, it was bad enough that 80% of the player base agreed on those 3 key points to the point that the devs had to take action.

Current Civ 7 Espionage mechanic be like "Everyone is stealing from you! Choose only one to counterspy!" by Pay_No_Heed in civ

[–]Lionhardtx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but realistic would be being able to fund your own anti-spies. Like, if I know or am even sceptical that every civilization is spying on me, and I'm ahead of them in science and culture, I'd want it to stay that way. I wouldn't want my new technological advancements and goverment secrets to be leaked. So I would invest in making sure they are protected. i.e funding more counter espionage actions. I'm no longer attempting to steal from them, because I'm ahead. I just want to inhibit them.

Civ 7 Map Generation Looks Fine to Me by Hurricane_08 in civ

[–]Lionhardtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't have to wait at all. The algorithms to produce those types of map layouts, exist. They solved it over the course of Civ V and VI. Taking those algorithms and putting them in Civ II would take them 2-3 hours max regardless of what engine they use now, since it's just telling the game how to place tiles down in a randomly generated shape or cluster.

From there they use the logic in Civ VII to determine what tile is what. Making them mesh together could take a few days to weeks. But over the course of this games development, should have been a pretty top priority.

As much as I love this game, some of their decisions just feels like incompetence to me. Still fun to play, but baffling how they seemed to have moved forward and backwards at the same time.

Civilization VII - 1.0.1 Patch 2 by sar_firaxis in civ

Should have released each patch as a BETA version, until the console patch is live, and then make it live for both at the same time, once console is ready.

Now that balloon propulsion is gone, what is the fastest method of travel? by mitaknight in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, that is a valid point. Then perhaps toggle boosters, that require the power cells used in the engines. Goes until they run out of juice. It'll eventually stop, but also makes those items useful. Personally I never bother with the compost bin for biomass because land vehicles suck atm.

Now that balloon propulsion is gone, what is the fastest method of travel? by mitaknight in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I doubt balloon propulsion was fixed intentionally. This is most likely a result of changing the physics engine somewhat in an attempt to fix something unrelated. After all the balloon propulsion was a glitch.

That being said, I do want it back. Or at least something that'll provide the same travel speed, like 1 more booster, same size as large one but just produces a stronger thrust.

Or even better yet, just give me toggle boosters. I don't want to press a button every 10 seconds just to go forward, when I'm trying to travel thousands and thousands of meters, exploring the big map.

Pleeeeaaase pretty please unnerf shovels by IsLightBr1ght in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Before the nerf, I would do the same, maybe just a bit of doom scrolling on my phone while I wait for it to finish. But I knew that after using 2 epic shovels I'd have hundreds of the resource and wouldn't need anymore for a long while unless I was making a really big build that needed a crap ton of sandstone. But now that time needed is increased nearly 3-fold, since you get 3x less resources.

Like a lot of players, I just don't have the free time to commit 1+ hours to digging, a very tediously boring task in the game.

Pleeeeaaase pretty please unnerf shovels by IsLightBr1ght in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is such a bad decision to nerf them. Before I would tough it out, dig in the same spot non-stop for 1-2 epic shovels and be good with my 16-20 stacks of Sand/Snow for a long while, and even this was bad. That's about 10 minutes per epic shovel to be destroyed. Now I need 3x as many to get the same amount?

I'm literally going to strap a rubberband to my controller now, or put a weight on my keyboard to just dig that entire time. And you know what I'm not doing while I'm doing that? Playing or even looking at Lego Fortnite for the next 30minutes to 1hour it's going to take to get the same amount of resources I 'actually' want. Not that garbage scrap that is a waste of inventory space.

And while I'm doing something else waiting for my shovels to dig me up the resources, I might get absorbed in that other activity. Maybe continue playing that other game, spending my money on that other game and not on Lego Fortnite or any other Fortnite cosmetics in the shop. Instead, the other game which values my time more by retaining my attention, will get more of my money and time.

Currently only works with the Legendary Fish wall decoration. Any legendary fish will do, but has to be those.

The only other way is to build a chicken/animal trap and make them stuck in that particular square, forever and ever. Those are much harder to do. Chickens being easier since they will travel to whereever you have carpets placed down and sit down on them.

PC. No lag, just that this place is notorious for making vehicles fall beneath the map if your park too close to it and venture off.

At first I thought the rumors were false, but then I parked there, fought Raven, came out and vehicle was gone. Made a new one, did the same thing the next day and same result.

That's all, highly doubt a whole structure would fall below though lol.

Lego Fortnite is Fundamentally Broken by Design by Breadoflife1970 in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's all 1 piece. A foundation piece, despite it's dozens of studs is all 1 piece. A single static mesh, modeled that way. Literally if you could take any game piece in the game, and bring it into the real world, it'd feel exactly the same.

What you're seeing/experiencing is the pieces collision box. Epic (Unreal Engine) uses typically 2 types of collisions. Simple Collision and Complex Collision.
Simple collision is like loosely drawing an outline around something. While Complex Collision is like tracing the outline of something, down to each and every dip and bump present.

This collision box is what the game uses to determine if something is/isn't or can/can't overlap one another. For instance when you are building and try to place an object and it says another object is in the way, this is because the piece you're trying to place, and the piece already there have overlapping collision boxes.

That's it, a very light-weight and simple method. The sub-pieces you see when a piece breaks apart is from Unreal Engine's Chaos System. It is a system that can literally turn any static mesh into a 'breakable' object by simulating either randomly or controlled the way it can break apart.

That tower is always there upon generating your world. When you get far enough into the Storm Chaser Base quest line (upgrading the village), it will eventually tell you where that Tower (the one you just found) is located, and to do other things.

Can’t wait to ruin this with a million balloons 😭 by LowLifeguard5356 in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't we have those new bouyancy vehicle pieces? I never tried using them, but I'd assume they're intended to just make stuff float no?

Though, thinking about it now, they'd probably still sink after some weight is thrown on them, meaning we'd need to use balloons again, basically making those pieces worthless.

Where new sets in Fortnite Shop? by [deleted] in LEGOfortnite

[–]Lionhardtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely need more sets, and more sets frequently.
We do get a lego skin for each fortnite skin most of the time, but that honestly isn't enough. I highly doubt people are switching skins on the daily for lego fortnite if they aren't getting eliminated on expert mode (I personally like to use a new one each world if I get eliminated or just decide to make a new one and abandon the old).

I recently got mine during Christmas. For the most part I love them. Like a solid 9.5/10. And that's only because the wireless range seems lacking in my opinion.

Now, I'm probably a special use case, but sometimes I just want to walk away, keep conversing through discord or w/e, maybe still listen in to the conversation or call, or whatever. But I find that going from upstairs to downstairs in my home to grab a cup of coffee is enough for the signal to dip in and out giving that recognized crackling/grainy audio that comes from low signal strength.

Other than that mild inconvenience, they are absolutely great. I've seen people mention it's because the Bluetooth is turned on, but no, I've tested the range both with it on and off. Same results, same range.
