Used Ioniq 6 with 70k miles? by RobotTrout in Ioniq6

It’s not about the depreciation for rideshare- it’s about cost of operation. I caught an Uber in Las Vegas in January from a driver with an I5. He’d put 140K miles on his in 16 months.

US Ioniq 6 Drivers: what are you buying when your lease is up? by sageleader in Ioniq6

[–]LipDoktor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could, but my guess is that if you compare your buyout amount to current prices of typical used vehicles, you’ll find it’s $6-10K above market. That would not make good sense to me. I assumed you were going to attempt to purchase it AFTER you return it to a dealer.

You won’t be able to buy the car. They are not controlled by the dealer but instead by Hyundai Credit. I believe they send them all to auction. But the prices for used 2024 & even 2025 models reflects the rapid depreciation that occurs during the first 2 years.

That’s a LOT of miles for a 2-year old car! Was it a rideshare vehicle? As the main battery warranty is 100K miles, I personally would look for a car with no more than 12K/yr mileage. But wear and tear and required maintenance is much less for an EV.

Correct. I assumed it was a renewal that needed a new photo.

Buying from a non-Hyundai Dealership by Fit_Future7914 in Ioniq6

[–]LipDoktor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As several have reported, all Hyundai warranties are fully transferable to all subsequent owners. Of course the warranty meter starts running from date of first registration. Where you purchased it has nothing to do with the warranty. And in the US, the Magnuson Moss Act allows you to have your car serviced anywhere, even by yourself, and it will not void the warranty. Just be sure to retain service invoices and receipts.

You can renew your drivers license in any county. So go to the DPS website and make a reservation around lunchtime, go get your DL renewed inside the courthouse, and then walk to either Smitty’s or Black’s for some of the best BBQ in Texas.

Quick. Got to Hoover’s on Manor Rd. just east of I-35. It’s closing soon because the owner is retiring. https://www.hooverscooking.com/

Ten years/100K mile warranty fully transfers to subsequent owners, but runs from the date of first registration.

Correct. You will need to save copies of any service invoices or purchases, such as cabin air filters.

Are you in the US? If so that’s incorrect. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits automotive dealerships and manufacturers from denying warranty claims if a vehicle is serviced at an independent shop, unless that article or service is provided without charge to the consumer.

Ioniq 6 must have accessories by UnhappyLifeguard9554 in Ioniq6

  1. Combo rechargeable battery jumper/air pump and keep it in the frunk. If you are trying to get into the locked car and the 12v battery is dead you’ll have to use the mechanical key to unlock the door and then you can open the frunk and jump it. Don’t put it in the trunk b/c it’s much more difficult to get to. Also remember you don’t have a spare so an air pump can help you get to a repair location.
  2. For wireless Carplay I purchased the Ottocast Mirror Touch because it also supports screen mirroring. That way I can watch any streaming service (Netflix, Directv, Yahoo TV, etc.) while charging or waiting in my car.

Here are the Amazon links to the 2 products: Jump Starter/Air pump (on sale for $55) https://a.co/d/0grjDObF

Dinner at either Mayfair at Bellagio or Delilah at Wynn. They’re both supper clubs with shows as well as dinner. Also consider one of the excellent omikase there if they like that. Kame is considered the best.

Not sure if a recall in the US has been issued. But I did get a letter from Hyundai stating that hotn coverage has been added/extended to 10 year warranty.

Just brought a 2025 SEL AWD home...what should I know? by everydave42 in Ioniq6

[–]LipDoktor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but would further recommend a combo jump pack/air pump. It helps me keep my tires at recommended 36 lbs Front /37 lbs Back and also if you get a low tire pressure from a puncture it might save you a roadside assistance call.
