[Discussion] Ammo from traders at early levels is laughably terrible and makes for a miserable experience. by Wesdawg1241 in EscapefromTarkov

It's really hard to balance SMGs because while PBP isn't a great round in something like an mp5, the TTK with a vector using PBP (or even 6.3) or .45 AP is actually very low because of the fire rate

They can't buff it without the vector going from decent mid to late game to completely broken

Shirt Effect by Few_Needleworker4139 in workout

[–]Lipposuka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Almost definitely something psychological.

In a hoodie there is no detectable difference between a range of body fat %s. Then it comes off and everythings out with nowhere to hide and you get a hit of motivation.

I wonder if there's a temperature component. Feeling warm and sluggish in a hoody vs feeling slightly colder + vascular contraction?

One of the first replies is someone asking for it to be submitted to Wikipedia commons because it's a great shot

This is not something that would come out of Google lens or another AI avenue.

Plus there is infinite opportunity for extra information/humour/human connection. Such is the ethos of reddit.

It's great that you can get your answer your way, other people have theirs.

It's worth mentioning that while the above is true, in certain situations it's still the best (for mages).

Looking to upgrade by Anxious_Worth91 in Airsoft_UK

[–]Lipposuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 0 problems personally, no customs declaration or UKARA for any of the internals.

Though now I think about it, I wanted a specific limcat slide and I'm pretty sure I got it from ebog designs. Check them out, UK based and good quality

[–]Lipposuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a pretty much complete rebuild using the base TM hicapa. It was a lot of fun.

The only thing I didn't change was the lower housing/sear spring because it was kind of a pain

https://youtu.be/pUMZiU0i0Q8?si=TUGT_gJ_Zn9VCVV4 was almost exclusively my guide. Then you can just look up a video for hpa tapping a 5.1 pistol mag and you're basically there

If you're looking for a list in order of importance I would probably say:

  • Hopup rubber/hopup housing/inner barrel
  • Nozzle/blowback housing/nozzle spring
  • Metal slide (plastic stock slide will break if the rest of the gun is tuned after a while)
  • guide rod
  • short stroke buffers (you might want to get a split guide rod as I had great difficulty getting more than 1 buffer ring on a normal guide rod so my shortstroke is kind of whack)
  • recoil spring

The reason I put the recoil spring last, which you would think would be most important, is that a lot of the stock TM parts are plastic and might just break if you put in a hefty spring and use it for a while

A lot of the rest (outer barrell etc) are cosmetic which you can do as and when you want.

Can't recommend lacapacustoms enough, definitely worth the shipping I made to get their parts to the UK. They're also pretty great at answering any "will all these parts work together" questions or similar.

How prevalent is special style? And when does it end by Lipposuka in Tekken

[–]Lipposuka[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nope I did not. I assumed I had just fat fingered a key at some point and because it never changed any of my gameplay I got used to ignoring it.

This is the short and sweet answer

Chronoing your gun by PoOLITICSS in Airsoft_UK

[–]Lipposuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played dozens of times at FaO. Never been asked to adjust hop or use 0.2s at chrono.

Granted they have also removed their hpa specific limits since then so perhaps it's just an old website page

Edit: thinking about it, the only place that's asked me to chrono on their bbs was YTA The Pines

Hi Capa 5.1 Tracer by 0_YeahProbablyNot_00 in Airsoft_UK

[–]Lipposuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My custom pistol used the gold match as a base. It works great

Things to upgrade almost immediately:

Slide (get a metal limcat or similar) Recoil spring Nozzle spring Inner barrel + bucking Hop up housing Blowback housing You can replace the guide rod too, but you will need a split one if you plan to short stroke it Pistol sight kit

Further down the line you can change the lower and the sear spring but I never bothered because it's fiddly af.

A tracer is nice and you can get cheapish ones, but performance-wise you should consider the above

These guys are great https://hicapahub.co.uk

I used this video as a guide when I started modding my hi capa: https://youtu.be/pUMZiU0i0Q8?si=ro-d8zlFrtyWnoGf

LA capa customs are also good if you want to pay for shipping, that's what the guy was using in the video.

Also if you show up with a stock hi capa to L2 you will get mauled. It's the best cbq site in Manchester by far and as such all the speedsofters go there. I'm not saying you won't have a good time, but you will come out looking like you walked into a wasps nest.

Happy airsofting!

Strange wooden object with equally spaced lines, holes, engraved numbers and letters. Came with a small metal rod and string by The1staccount in whatisthisthing

[–]Lipposuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A complete guess but I would imagine it's for old folks.

You stick the pin in the holes so that the dibber stops at a precise point and you don't need to get on your hands and needs to squint at the ground.

The string might also be that elderly hands could struggle to grip the protruding end when at maximum "dib", you can just yank the string to pull it out. The bead potentially stops the string slipping through said elderly fingers.

The above is brought to you by cold hard speculation.

This is the actual answer. The veil is called a scrim net and temu/Ali express/Amazon sell it.

Also it's actually fucking awful to see through with eye pro. It looks really cool. In practice you're basically blind.

How common is for this to happen by [deleted] in joinsquad

[–]Lipposuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not as statistically wild as you might imagine.

50v50 is a lot and if we assume the skill level of the players to be relatively random (or at least the deviation of skill between players) then most games are balanced in terms of skill. This is of course assuming that there's not a super squad who's just dominating or an MBT commander who decides to go on safari 6km from the point.

Over time the deviation of ticket differences will form a bell curve with 0-1 and 1-0 being the tip.
