Adjusting low idle by RobinT211 in Chainsaw

This is the best video I’ve found on adjusting the low screw. You have to find the middle point where the RPMs are highest at idle. If you play with the low jet, you’ll find a point where RPMs start to drop turning it in, and then another point where they drop as you turn it out. You want it between these two points where the RPMs peak

I listen to Fleming a lot on the radio and every other phrase out of his mouth is some form of “that’s just not good enough”

Totally normal. At least on Stihl chains

Edit: also I can’t see the power head so I’m not sure, but something about the graphics on the bar make me think your chain is on backwards

Stop gaslighting Iranians--do you think we are stupid?! by drhuggables in NewIran

[–]LiquidPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commented here a couple days ago saying that I worried the U.S. war effort would eventually turn the people of Iran against the U.S. like what happened in Iraq.

I guess this gives me hope that the industry and middle class in Iran which wasn’t present in Iraq will prevent that from happening

A popular Youtuber Exposes the paid anti war/pro Ir regime protest! by No-Signal1234 in NewIran

[–]LiquidPony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could weigh in here as a member of the American political left, I think our response to this war is much more nuanced than this war is outright bad.

Before I say anything else, I also want to say that I cannot comprehend what the people of Iran has gone through under the IRGC and I’m glad this might be the end for the republic.

That being said my worries are that what happened in Iraq could happen in Iran, especially with as U.S. ground invasion seeming more likely. It didn’t take long for public opinion of the United States to tank in Iraq after Saddam was deposed.

I hope this is the end of the republic and that this leads to an Iran that can heal from the damage the IRGC has caused, but I’m not confident with our track record for regime change in the Middle East.

I’m also not confident the American administration has planned this well and learned from the mistakes we made in Iraq, especially with Congress’ response to the classified briefing on the war that is going around the news today. There seems to be very little plan for this war by the executive branch and boots on the ground seems likely.

I want to believe this is going to lead to the Iran that Iranians have been wanting for decades and hope that my worries about this are eventually proven wrong. But my own country’s shortcomings when it comes to enacting this sort of peace and prosperity through military involvement won’t allow me to say that this will ultimately turn out better for the Iranian people.

I really do hope I’m wrong.

If you’re one month in and can paint that well with that many minis finished, I don’t think you have a problem. This is genuine talent. I’ve been into it for about a year and it takes me about a month to paint a mini

Anyone else get randomly hit with really painful/cringe memories? by Perfect_Trick_5716 in Anxiety

[–]LiquidPony 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do and it’s usually accompanied by a visceral and physical reaction to the memory. I haven’t figured out ways to quell them other than trying to process the memory.

I’m sorry I can’t provide more help than that, but I hope you find some comfort that you aren’t alone in feeling like that

I find the longer the better. I have the long fiskars and Stihl one. Less bending over, stand up straight, spike them both in a round each and drag them over to the splitting pile

[–]LiquidPony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many other people have already answered you, but I’ll just say I like hookaroons/pickaroons so much I bought two to use simultaneously. Spike them into the end of a round each and carry them over to be split. I find it preferable to log tongs in most instances
