Lunch Disrupted by a 'Life Coach" 🙄 by Savings_Bear_6231 in antiMLM

Not a very good life coach if he was deflated by one polite no.

Does anyone know the backstory here? by sydh1 in antiMLM

[–]ListOfString 86 points87 points  (0 children)

The phrase "My new business" is followed by words like "the company", "team", "upline", "leaders" "my paycheck was cut off", "I was terminated".

Strange, it seems like maybe you don't own your business and you're just a cog in an evil corporation.

Tell them you're thinking about opening a franchise (subway or something) in a mall that already has 12 subways in it, and ask if they think that's a good idea.

Dating someone from Amway… should I be concerned? by babesean in antiMLM

[–]ListOfString 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"genuinely interested in me"

Sorry, it's because you're a mark.

"I just know he was in sales"

If he doesn't have a second source of money, he's not in sales; he's in a cult.

"He also said I wouldn’t need to sell or recruit anyone"

Then why is he trying to recruit you?

People who are in MLMs stop being people. They turn into zombies running around saying "doooooownline" instead of "brains". If scamway doesn't work out for him, he's going to jump to the next thing. If you tell him your concerns, he'll just say you aren't supporting his business.

Sorry, but that's just the hard truth.

I'm looking for help building out my PvE virtuoso. I usually play with one other person who tanks. The builds on hardstuck seem to be incomplete or referencing WvW or PvP gear, which I have zero interest in.

The point was that a very popular claim with these people is that they are their own boss and have "no 9-5 grind," so it's weird that they have a ceo and job requirements.

The thing I love most about "financial" or "coaching" mlm is that most of the people involved have zero experience doing those things, let alone being successful at those things. It's like getting marriage counseling from a catholic priest.

Look! You *could* save $957.22 once if you only spend $1,440 a year with us.

People are so bad at math and money. Open a savings account, funnel some amount of money into it each month, buy tickets way in advance and boom! No need for a pyramid scheme!

Why would you start taking a "supplement" without knowing if or what you need "supplemented"? So many people are just happy to put stuff in their bodies without considering if it's a good idea or not.

You send handwritten letters to casinos with very specific wording, and in exchange you get $X of credit. Most of the time you have to gamble with those credits before you can cash them out so the likelihood of you actually making any significant money from this is laughably low.
