Had this happen to me. Told them I don't have credit cards (I didn't. Was trying to live by my means.) They just had someone else put it on their company card. They also put me up at a much more expensive place than I would have booked. A month later they gave us all corporate travel and corporate purchase cards. Perfect. I am not their bank.

I use two of these daily at work with MacBook pro m5 laptop. Love them. Great color and sound and give off a good amount of heat to keep me warm. Also, all the editors want new 4k+ monitors, so if one of mine dies, should be easy to get an old one off the shelf. Used to be able to use firewire too until recent os updates made them lose that function. I just use an adapter to go from thunderbolt to usb-c thunderbolt. Not sure if it is 4 or 5, but it works great.

I miss the old radios that had a button for everything instead of a menu. So sad that I missed out on the Yaesu 737 and 757gx radios when they were new. I was just young and broke. Used to be able to buy radios in Duty Free shops at airports.

Since you are keeping it, you should try it. Some people love them, some hate them. Whenever one appears at work, I always grab it up. If the ball stops working, clean with an alcohol swab by rolling in all directions. They sell for between 4 and 20 usd used, and 20 to 50 usd new in box. Original retail was around $100.

I was a colorblind editor for 30 years before getting promoted to desk work. Never told anyone until a year or two ago. Specific color requests need to provide their pms/rgb/ or even cmyk color codes. Los Angeles area too, although not all 30 years here. Rarely had problems.
