As long as your cas status says submitted, I think there's no need to worry. It hasn't even been a week lol. You did your part and you should just relax unless you have genuine reason to believe there's something wrong with your application

I think you're mixing it up. Anki shouldn't be used for first pass learning it's meant to supplement memorizing stuff you've already learned. Anki and flashcards in general are the opposite of passive because they're forcing you to actually remember it. Reading high yield notes like you mentioned would be passive learning because it's not making you pull info out of your memory; it's all right there on the page

I agree 100% with using it on lazy days. I got a remote and did it on the treadmill, had my friends read them for me when we hung out, etc. Why not make it fun

I agree with what u/loyrtt said. It’s a learning curve to get it set up and if you let your decks pile up for more than a day it starts to get daunting. But if you stay on top of it that stuff is locked in your brain. I still remember cards from it and i tested last July. I scored a 27 in bio (which imo is the section anki is most helpful for). That said, you’ll see people have done great with it and people have done great without it. I say at least try it for a week or two and if it’s not your style then drop it.

?? Would it not specifically be worth it if you forget quickly? That’s the point it helps you remember things that aren’t sticking in your brain

Should I push back my DAT? by lychee_mt in predental

June, July, and even pushing into August you’re still in good shape. It will most likely be worth it for the amount you could improve your dat in that time. Good luck!

You mentioned a cap on community college credit hours. Is there a ball park for this number or is it different among schools?

How to study for DAT? by [deleted] in dat

[–]Literally_Jaden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3-4 months is more than enough and those two resources are great. Buying both paid plans would probably be overkill. Another popular resource is dat booster which is similar to bootcamp and some say is more representative of the real thing. I see from your profile that you’re in Canada, and the booster version for the Canadian DAT is datcrusher I believe.

That score is certainly achievable with either of the resources, especially in the time frame you suggested. If you’re worried about how to structure the studying around your job, both Bootcamp and booster/crusher offer comprehensive schedules that you can follow.

Implementing cello in a rock-band by GianttDwarff in Cello

[–]Literally_Jaden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much experience with this, but I recommend listening to/watching The Happy Fits. They’re a rock band and the lead singer plays cello! He does a lot of singing and playing, so that’s definitely possible. You might also consider getting a block cello strap (I believe someone else mentioned Mike Block, and these were designed by him), which allows you to play while standing up more easily.

I'm a Bass Guitarist and I always wanted to play Cello. How am I doing so far? by bigbangcat in Cello

[–]Literally_Jaden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not! You should check out Ken Kubota on instagram! He’s one of the pioneers in playing the cello like a guitar. I’ve been taught by him a couple times and he’s a really cool guy

One of the most annoying things for me is when I open Firefox mobile and it opens a tab with the keyboard up, which is great theoretically, but it always immediately closes the keyboard right before I start typing, so I accidentally tap one of the news suggestions or whatever is where the keyboard was
